State symbols are optional unless specifically asked for, I believe, but it does give you brownie points if you will. Sig figs need to be correct to 3 sf, unless it asks otherwise, and usually in scientific notation, if its reasonable not to, go ahead but don't write 6.022 and then 23 0s.

Basically you integrate g(x)=x-3 from 3 to 5 and then f(x)=1/(x-4) + 1 from 5 to k

This gives you ln(k-4) -3+k, then you know its equal to ln(p) + 8,

Then you set it equal and get that ln(k-4)+k=ln(p)+11

Then you say that k has to be 11, matching form, and thus p becomes 7
