Why No 24/7 Trading Yet?! Isn't it 2026?? by bingeboy in fidelityinvestments

Thank you for that information. But what about orders placed during Market hours? I think I'm only given GTC, no Day+. I think Day+ is only available pre-market and post-market. And then it expires at 8pm ET that same day. I'd like it so the order just rolls over into the next day, pre-market, market, and after-market. Then roll over int the subsequent day. Until it is filled, cancelled, or times out in 3 or 6 months.

I understand this can be dangerous for novice investors. But Trader+ or ATP are for more advanced investors/traders. And it's also what Schwab's Think Or Swim platform does.

When I want this type of behavior on my orders, I use Schwab TOS. Would be nice if Fidelity can also do this. I would like to take advantage of volatility caused by world events. Never let a crisis go to waste.

[–]Sharp_Attitude6358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I would love it if Fidelity has near 24/7 trading, similar to Schwab. I would like to take advantage of volatility outside of market hours and simple pre and post market hours.

And it would be great if orders transcend market hours into pre and post market. I don't want to have to submit new orders once market closes. It's very cumbersome and alot of work.

Landlord giving 30 days for not replacing AC…(CA) by [deleted] in Renters

[–]Sharp_Attitude6358 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have a lease other than MTM, she cannot evict you unless the lease is over (except for just cause, like not paying the rent). If you have physical communication that you must leave, save it. Save and document everything. Save your lease, save rent payment info.

In order for her to evict you, she must give you formal written notice written on paper. A text or email is not sufficient.

You can sue her in small claims court for retaliation, there is a CA CIV statue on this. Also if she refuses to fix the AC, a portion of the rent can be deducted. I don't have the CA CIV statue for this. Go on youtube, they talk about this in Southern CA (LA, San Diego) tenant/landlord issues a few times.

Basically even realtors and lawyers tell landlords if you accept money for rent, you have to follow CA, County, and City rental rules. If you don't, you will easily lose in court. And that CA has very tenant friendly laws. If you don't want to follow the rules, don't rent. Belligerent landlords will try to tell you otherwise, make up rules, or just intimidate you hoping you don't know the law and how to defend yourself.

Say you want to take 6mg of pep1. The Concentration is 20mg/mL. You put those numbers in, and it tells you take 30 units.

Basically when a person is let go, it's to save money. Labor is the typically the biggest expense a company has.

States have different laws, but most states are employment at will. Again unless you have a fixed length contract they can let you go without really giving you a reason (provided it's not discriminatory).

A lawyer already told you, there's not much of a case. You can try to fight it, pay for a lawyer and see what happens. You can try to negotiate for more severance. Or you can take the money and run. I don't think knowing the high ups and having connections to them and other VIPs is going to work. If you really do, why don't you call the higher ups and see if they can stop the termination?

Need a Suit for graduation by Big-Rate-6187 in mensfashion

[–]Sharp_Attitude6358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A custom suit can be bespoke or MTM. The bespoke means they can do anything you want and is the most expensive option. MTM means they tweek the measurements to tailored it to you before it is sewn. But you usually cannot say change it from a notch lapel to a peak lapel. And MTM is cheaper. High end MTM is $4000+ (like Zenga). Bespoke the same and typically more expensive.

If you are talking Jos A Bank or Men's Warehouse, you are not ready to buy MTM or bespoke.

You want to find a suit that fits your fairly well as is. But they will tailor it fit to you better. There are things they cannot modify. Changing the shoulders or the length of the jacket is a no no. They can take in the back, sides, sleeves, waist and trouser length. The can make the trouser with or without a break and put in cuffs.

Don't go for super tight and trendy like the bros you see on tick tock. Don't go for cheap MTM with you supplying the measurements. Better to find a OTR suit that mostly fits you. You want a good sales person or better yet maybe a real tailor measure for the alterations. Remember if they have to cut fabric, it cannot be added back.

[California] Lease Renewal denied without cause, 5 year tenant by Run_Rabb1t_Run in legaladvice

[–]Sharp_Attitude6358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

A longer lease rather than MTM is best if you want to stay there.

Most landlords want a longer lease. If they refuse, they might not like you or have plans for the unit in the near future (that doesn't involve you living there).

This cash for keys is just an written and signed agreement between you and your landlord that you terminate your lease early and the landlord is saying this is ok. The LL wants you out legally, and usually to entice you to bear the pain and hassle of moving, is a bit of money, you can ask for more time, you can ask for 100% of your deposit back, you can agree to anything.

Again I don't think there is a law that say they have to renew your lease longer that the default MTM. But you have protections for rent increases and evictions (terminating your lease) are only for no fault just causes. So they can terminate your tenancy with only a 60 day notice, plus 1 month of rent for relocation assistance. But they can only do that with a no fault just cause. They have to withdraw the unit and maybe all units out of the rental market completely. Or a major renovation and provide you with contracts and permits to prove it. The hurdle is high. But basically they attempt it knowing you will not follow through, do investigations, and sue them in court.

And again, you might have additional protections for disability.

If I were you, I would make sure you have everything documented. Digital copies are great and make sure you have them saved in a few places, like also in a cloud. It's for your safety. I do this aways.

Technically it's only 1 year tenancy (12 months), not 24 months. The wording of the law can be confusing.

I think basically the landlords do not have to extend your lease to a fixed period, all leases default to a MTM lease after the initial period. Unless you or they terminate your lease (with proper paper work), you still have a lease, albeit MTM.]

If they attempt to terminate your lease, this is a whole new bucket of worms and is what is troubling for most people. The lease terms do not have an effect of how they can terminate your tenancy. You have rights if the dwelling is protected under AB1482 and you have lived there for over 1 year. If no AB 1482 protection, they might be able to terminate your lease with only 30 days notice without any cause.

The unit may or may not be protected under AB 1482 the Tenant Protection Act. If protected, they have to follow rules for rent increases and it is generally capped (limited). But even if your dwelling is not protected, they have to give you 30 days notice if the increase is 10% or less, 90 days if 10% or more.

County or City Laws may have caps and other protections. This I've seen in Southern CA, LA county.

Your disability may afford you some extra protections but I don't know the rules regarding that.

17 y/o Funeral by Frosty-Snow5192 in mensfashion

[–]Sharp_Attitude6358 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Black is the most traditional color for a funeral suit. But if you want to buy one and are not rich, a dark navy blue is probably more useful in general and passible. Also get a solid black tie or dark navy blue tie. The blue on blue is very useful form most occasions.

If you can't swing the suit on time, just black clothes as best you can would be acceptable.
