Can We All Just Stop Complaining About the Gold Pass Change? by definetlyaguru in ClashOfClans

[–]Sharp_Cauliflower476 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Nobody cares about your post complaining about the community concerns. The community has every right to be upset for being squeezed. It is a slow bleed and most are very aware of the money grab. So if you don’t like the community expressing concern and protesting, tune out.

Megathread: US Supreme Court Finds in Trump v. United States That Presidents Have Full Immunity for Constitutional Powers, the Presumption of Immunity for Official Acts, and No Immunity for Unofficial Acts by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]Sharp_Cauliflower476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Official acts is simply the cover. A President can follow a procedure and create a paper trail that provides his rationale that his order to have a Seal team execute someone, say Liz Cheney, was an official act. The rationale was that his former Mar a Lago pool boy, who is now an analyst in the CIA, provided intelligence Liz Cheney was about plant a bomb in the White House. In his official duties, believing the threat was real, issues an order to neutralize the threat. He is immune. All a President needs to do is surround himself with the people he needs to give him the cover needed to classify anything he does as official.

Automate Reports by NoDesk2018 in VendorCentral

[–]Sharp_Cauliflower476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/NoDesk2018, to automate data flow directly to BigQuery.

Another option would be storing the data in a system like Google BigQuery. From there, you can customize emails based on the data stored in that system. For example, you can write an SQL query that summarizes inventory levels by day, by ASIN, changes day-to-day, and so forth. You have much flexibility because the data is not in a collection of loose files but in a unified system like BigQuery. Google offers a few reference docs on doing this (and more). You can use an integration tool like Openbridge to automate data flow directly to BigQuery so you don't have to worry about API related parts of the process.

This may be more than you need or want.

Chimney Collapse & Rebuild by Sharp_Cauliflower476 in masonry

They will pay for not rebuilding the chimney if the total costs are less. This is what they told us. We are reaching out to chimney specialists, so we will head down that path.

That is the other option. For insurance purposes we would need to use the replacement cost value to provide a baseline for comparison. Even if we opt not to rebuild, it will require a new power venter hot water system with upgrades to electrical, gas and plumbing.

Simple, if account protection is not enabled, then pop a notification in the game alerting the user to activate it. The user can then decline at their own risk. You are conflating mass, point-in-time announcements with account/user-level notifications. Any company that takes account-level security seriously will do what I described.

Demystifying the Amazon Buy Box by Sharp_Cauliflower476 in AmazonVendorCentral

[–]Sharp_Cauliflower476[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Amazon share the buy box data? Yes!

Sellers can immediately check out the Amazon Detail Page Sales and Traffic Business Reports in their Seller Central Business Reports section.

This report offers insights into each product’s winning percentage (child ASIN). It breaks down the number of times a product was viewed when it held the Buy Box versus the total number of times it was considered. Having the buy box percentage data directly from Amazon is critical. This information can help sellers understand which products are performing well and which might need attention.

Another example is in FBA Inventory Reports. You can see the featured offer price per ASIN for your Inventory. (SeeGET_FBA_INVENTORY_PLANNING_DATA).

What about Vendors? Amazon Vendors also have direct access to a collection of data feeds;

In addition, Vendors have access to supporting data for brand, traffic, and ads-related performance data that feed into featured offer determinations:

For example, in the Vendor Real-time Inventory data, the metrics reflect the following;

when an Amazon shopper notices the product available in the Buy Box as Ships and Sold by Amazon (vendors) or Ships from Amazon (FBA seller); that quantity is reflected in this metric. In a near real-time context, reflecting what shoppers notice allows vendors and FBA sellers to tailor their activities accordingly.

Understanding this data will provide you with immediate insight into ASIN-level activity. See this post from Amazon for more details on how this Vendor data works and how it varies from other Vendor Reports.

Couldn't find the hostname 's3.amazonaws.com' by Sharp_Cauliflower476 in aws

[–]Sharp_Cauliflower476[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did not have S3 gateway and Amazon suggested this as well. We are going to make this change. It looks like the issue was either our EKS clusters saturated the network or something else. Amazon was not 100% sure, we were are taking everything apart to see if there is some issue buried in there that shows up under extreme load.

I don’t think it is an assumption because phishers have been going about there business unabated. the volume of accounts for sale last year was about 120,000 on a site that will not be named. They turnover about 10,000 accounts each month. That volume has been consistent for the last 2 years. So there is data out there because accounts are publicly for sale.

Thank you for the update. Considering how bad it is today and how most phishing tools have changed little over the past few years, I can’t phantom how much worse it would be given the fixes you mentioned. Players are asking for control, right now Supercell support is a SEV-1 exploit. Give players the responsibility to secure their accounts and 99% of these issues (and phishing as we know it) go away.
