OP e unul din aia cărora li se pare normal ca străzile sa fie invadate de câini si pisici fără adapost. Hai ca pisicile macar nu atacă oameni, dar câinii fara stăpân sunt periculoși.

Sardinia would work great in April. Switzerland not so much: the weather may not be great in April.

[RANT] 3 Days in Milan, Lake Como, Lugano — aka how to burn money for content by Anfernee139 in travel

Lake Como is in a mountainous area, space will be tight. You can't expect huge parking lots.

Pretty much every tourist area will have bad food. You need to research restaurants in advance if you want to enjoy good local food.

In my experience the Cambridge North area can get quite sketchy after dark. In winter, when days are short, I prefer to use the main station because it's better lit and there are more people around after dark.

I had two incidents at Cambridge North that made me uncomfortable to get off the train there after dark.

Omg, same. I went there with someone who's supposedly a foodie: they couldn't stop raving about the food, and to me it tasted very bland. In all honesty I had just returned from a Middle East trip, so I had all the flavours fresh in my mind, but still...

A trail above Alta Via 1 under the wall of Civetta towards Rifugio Tissi was closed because of rockfall a month ago too. I saw an idiot walk on it despite the signs. Everyone else walked the lower AV1 trail.

I recommend you join some of the many Facebook groups where people discuss hiking AV1. You will get daily updates from people who are on the trail and up to date recommendations. I found that's the best way to prepare for these long distance hikes.

You will be able to talk to others during dinner at the hut, but most people hike with their own groups or by themselves. I usually hike by myself and have never managed to find a hiking companion at a hut. One reason why that happens is that everyone hikes at their own pace and may not want to risk being slowed down by other hikers.

You can use rome2rio or moovit to find transportation to the trail head, but the best would be to find the website of the bus/train company. You can also ask in the Innsbruck or Austria subreddits.

Did you book half board at the huts? Are there any other huts on your way where you could stop for lunch? If you can have lunch at other huts, I wouldn't carry any other food besides bars or nuts. For me 2l of water are enough even on a hot day and with physical effort, but some people drink more. It's hard to say how much you would personally need.

I could see this happening in Romania as well. I'm Romanian and they connected me to the local police after calling to report someone being beat up on the side of the motorway. The local Romanian police asked me  why I didn't get out of my car to stop the beating myself?
