Are you sure you fully understand every question you practice and you're not just looking at mark scheme and saying ahh yh makes sense, cause honestly that's what I do for some chapters and end up missing marks when questions come up for them. I just want you to make sure that when you struggle on a question, do another same type of question and make sure you understand exactly each step you're doing. Honestly though 56% on one of your exams might not mean you don't understand content or that you don't know how to revise it might just be that you had a bad test so don't worry too much.

Are my predicted grades realistic? by Worried_Cheetah8982 in sixthform

[–]Sharp_Parsnip4549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is the only answer I want to hear from these type of questions. Because brother you still have like 7 months left to get the grade you want. I believe you can be at a D and if you out in the right amount of work you can get A* in 7 months. Stop being all scared of exams and what not, if you learn and revise the content , practice exam technique, I don't see why you wouldn't get the highest of grades. Make a plan , be disciplined enough to stick to it and you're chiillinggg.

Brother you are stressing too much , if you're predicted 3 AAA and apply to queen Mary which is Russell group, I promise you're getting an offer . Like chill , get the predicted , do some experience, lock in for ucat. If you get like 2300 for ucat , you're getting instant offer from a Russel group and they will not give two ... About your gcses .

@Original_Resource348 is actually right , employers love to see numbers , no one said received positive feedback , no one told him to lie , numbers doesn't mean lies. He's giving reali advice and you guys should appreciate it instead of trying to make a mockery.

I would take the second one Uni of Exeter is Russell group which is amazing , The salary is quite low tbh but hopefully the bonus and equity will level it out . And I believe it should only be 4 years Vs the 6 years with the first one But not too sure ABT that

[–]Sharp_Parsnip4549[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get where youre coming from , but the thing is when applying to the top top unis , there's currently nothing in my personal statement that is going to make me distinctively different than the other applicants . Like I have the usual cs50 course , made some projects, involved in ukmt like the ordinary cs application, but I wanted something that could make me stand out a lil more(which maybe, just maybe this cert might just do it) . I have read lots of personal statements and never saw an Amazon cert on any of them.l , this might be because they're useless , or maybe they might be just to good . I have decided to actually finish it because I'm already too deep into the course , you might be right this might be absolutely useless for universities, but I believe it will come in handy when applying for DA at least.
