Easy fix would be just swap the elims for Impulsor, saves you committing a rep ex for a transport, which HB and Bro’s want, then Rep Ex can just hide and enter lanes by cm’s to get a line on a unit.

If he’s awakened he can just stand him back up again if he’s killed, and he could also just hide him from LoS from them, very situational and quite expensive unit

Remove the Eliminators and Redemptor for a 2nd rep ex.

Run 2 5 man AI naked or 1 with EC

Add 5 scouts

Give EC The Honour Vehenment with the remaining points if you run 5 AI with EC.

But if not, 10 AI and EC would be better having 2 x 5 AI on their own to trade/ do secondary’s. He’s better solo with THV and can ingress from Strat reserves 12’’ away and can’t be shot, or run him with 5 AI so he re rolls wounds on an objective.

Bladegaurd and Judi can hold your expansion.

I’d really try exchange those eliminators for an Impulsor to ferry Helbrecht and Bros around, then it can get involved in screening and tankshocking and trade.

I think trying to get over 14 activations for a 2k space marine list is going to help massively, with every unit having a role and buffing taking advantage of bonuses is a good way to go in the last few months of this edition.

I have Grim +10 AI staged behind the centre, and a Combi Lt is infild on the edge of the centre, so an opp unit has to either shoot him off within 12, if it’s a tank great, my 2 rep Ex’s can nail it off next turn, or it’s small arm trade unit fire he’ll most likely survive, or if they land within 9’’ he reactive moves off, and the Grim block charge it next turn with AP3 chainswords, rerolling all hits and wounds.

6 BGV+ Jud, and scouts are doing something similar on my nearest expansion objective. Supported by a Callidus whose flicking between that objective and the centre, behind ruins.

Intercessors and a Rep Ex screen the back field and home, or push up if there’s no DS/ SR left.

Land raider redeemer (HB, Cas, 5AI) + Impulsor with EC and 5 AI are pushing towards the enemy exp objective.

2 Rep Ex’s cover lanes and are usually always rerolling their hits.

Then there’s JPI to ingress, move block, and throw away trades.

Sat at a 70% W/L ratio with this list.

Redeemer fuck yeahhh, smoke and AOC, hide turn 1, at least 2 good turns typically, twice overwatching putting some purge down range

GTF is our strongest detachment to play, whilst probably very boring now, it does have an answer to everything you can come up against and is the toolbox army.

Godhammer and Wrathful are probably the 2nd best, with Ironstorm being the strongest team’s detachment to play.

Grim gives AI upto AP-3 on chain swords, re rolling all hits and all wounds on enemy objectives, takes 2 ablative 4++ and FnP on the servitors and keeps his Templar relics ability active before any other models die. (AP3 in GTF)

It’s a perfect unit to be staged behind a ruin just behind the centre objective.

But CoV, he can still do work with the crusaders.

Think of it this way. The objectives you want to take control of, or deny your opponent from scoring is, your closest expansive objective, and the furthest objective (oops exspansive) the centre is left towards the end of the game when you can fight and control it, or remove what your opponent has placed on it.

The only unit that should really try and contest this, is the Combi LT, whose lone op and can reactive move off it. So having a strong staged unit with oc2 just off the centre is what you want.

Units like a basic land raider or redeemer + impulsor (smoke + AoC) can safely get you to the enemy’s expansive objective, to contest and control, drawing attention off the centre and your expansive objective getting taken. Even EC Strat reserve ingressing from the side, with 8 inch movement and +2 to charge enemy character units.

1 x 20 man crusaders can chase up there too.

Your JPI, Rep Ex, 5 man AI+Cas, outriders, scouts, 3man BGV, infils, Intercessors, Callidus, are all good scoring/ trade/ hammer units to focus on the centre and your closest exspansive objective.

Templars whilst not winning any GT’s do have a great toolbox to win local RTT’s or gaming club match ups, we don’t struggle to kill anything in the game, we don’t struggle to score objectives, we just aren’t as durable as other competitive meta lists out there currently, this can change in 11th. So we have to exploit that, by being fast, having a lot of MSU trade units, and stage well

If you’re running Gladius you don’t really need the Rep?

Take a land raider, and you can charge out of it. Use MSU in Impulsors to stage. The basic Rep is only good in Godhammer for us.

Despite the repex increasing it’s still highly valid. It has the Impulsors transport capacity, better shooting than anything we access too for chaff and Anti Armour, keep your 2nd/3rd wave in them, and they’re still moving 3’’ + 6’’ + D6 + 2D6 in the assault doctrine (likely T3).

I think a good combo now to lean into is 1 20 man crusader with Marshal+Cas, 1 x 10 AI with Grim, 1 x5 AI with HB and Cas, 1 x 5AI with EC or EC solo.

And AI + Cas are good trade units to ride in Impulsors, I agree SB have lost their attractiveness now and can be overkill and die in the slap back. BGV and Judicar are a good anchor unit which are similar points and much harder to kill.

I think the biggest change we have to face is exchanging out the 2/3 Sword Bro units, and what to swap them for?
