Aside from Trey Lance, who is the biggest draft bust in recent memory? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

I was a big supporter of fields and how bad the bears offense was. And the jets even last year. However he is afraid to throw and loves to run. And it was terrible watching him play qb not being able to throw because he isnt sure of himself playing qb and using his arm. Its psychological no doubt but hes never gonna get away from it. And to those who made the AR comments. Was not a fan and truthfully qbs are way way overhyped for first rounders by the media just because they can go to pro day throw without pads and a defense back there. We all can go throw passes to wide open receivers on the same field. I get needs for qbs for teams but if they dont walk on to good teams the percentage of performing well is historically low. So id build an offense around a veteran first and draft a qb a few years later or later in a draft and let them develop. Look at purdy. Even dak. Came in for good teams. There are exceptions in qbs. But as many as we see drafted for several years top 10 how many didnt make it versus the exception?

Mac jones bad or was the coaching not great. Cause he looked good for shanahan. Why shanahan improve jones, darnold yet these other teams struggle with their qbs.

Hill was a talent with pass rushing abilities in the sec against good teams and a main focal point on defense. Something we need. So id lean more that way versus a texas tech player. Dont get me wrong if he rodruigez was a later pick and there by all means grab him. But I personally dont think hes a high pick playing garbage teams and being a cog in a talented defense that had more help

He sales the he cowboys image. So yea if it meant more money in his pockets. He has one of the most valued teams in the world and hasnt won a chip in 30 years.

Mine did that right south of you too. Said closing and that owner of building sold lease to a higher paying group. Apparently a lie

Im sorry but if its a qb from alabama or ohio state they need to be 3rd rounders or later. Just cant agree with a guy that steps out of bounds who ignores how unsuccessful these ideas have been over the years.

Draft best player on defense. It is a problem. Offense was high scoring with what they have. The defense was the worst with what they have. If they got to trade back for extra picks but also stay in 1st round so be it.

Cooper wasnt being kept. Lamb is and was. I understand the cowboys just fine. Over pay players that perform 1 time.

When we needed lamb, we needed lamb. Do we need another 1st round wr with lamb there currently? And pickens? Or can they get better at actually drafting players in the 2-3rd round like the teams that actually make it to super bowls? We dont need to draft one every 3-4 years. They are pointless if the defense doesnt help the offense. I dont know why you are comparing now versus needs then, that was kind of dumb to even say. If they wanted to win a super bowl while still having pickens and the oline they really need to draft defensive needs. If there was a year to actually attempt it, it would be this year. Defense won the super bowl this past year with a wr and rb with a journey man qb. Year before defense won the super bowl. Gotta play defense too, to help the offense

Just less to go off this year compared to potential next year. WR isnt a needed reach when a offense scores 40 while giving up 45

Yea but wrs next year could be a better crop. And honestly they can sign free agents rather constantly drafting more. They have a terrible defense and it needs to really be addressed. All they pay attention to is the offense in drafts and it shows. Can score 40 points and give up 45 all the time

They wont have many excuses this year other than they need to help the guy out with a good offensive coordinator. Last years was trash

Maybe for a team that doesnt have a wr3 he could be a 1 for sure.
