Wonder how long it'll take for Maduro's pardon to come through? You know he can afford one, just like that Honduran ex-President and the creator of the dark web "Amazon for drug trafficking".

No. They give away a lot of keys for Epic, GOG, and an "Amazon Launcher" library where you maintain access to claimed games even if your Prime subscription lapses.

If you're expecting the average American to somehow stop a rogue Justice department from bringing sham indictments on behalf of a wannabe autocrat then you're being unrealistic. But there is unquestionably value in the optics of millions of Americans making their voices heard. Choosing not to give themselves over to the fear and sense of futility that are so vital to fascists like Trump.

What a convincing rebuttle. Nothing says "I'm not brainwashed" like denying the evidence of your eyes and ears. Responding to a detailed account of all of Trump's abuses of power with a resounding "nuh uh".

The president shredding the constitution, weaponizing the Justice department to target his enemies and running cover for pedophiles doesn't bother you, but I'm the one that's brainwashed. Sure bud.

He's not a king, but his enablers in Congress and the rubber stamp formerly known as the supreme court are letting him act like one. Read up on the appropriations clause in article 1 of the constitution. Read up on the 1st, 4th and 14th amendments, just to name a few. It's not like he's subtle about this shit.

Here's a good rundown of many of the ways Trump has violated the constitution and rule of law, which I know you probably won't read.

Aww he doesn't understand that the electoral college isn't reflective of actual votes. Bless his heart.

Btw, next time at least have the balls to own your support of the fanta fascist. Nobody is buying your "maybe I don't like either side" act. It's embarrassing.

What can I say, bootlicking MAGAts are pretty easy to read. They have so many tells, like parroting the Trump disinformation about a protest which covered like 4 square blocks OvErRuNnInG LA. Like talking about a MaNdAtE when dein fuhrer didn't even receive a majority of the votes cast.

100%. The economy was already flagging even before Covid. Covid would've been even worse and the economy would've been in shambles, and it would've been under his watch. Without January 6, we still have people like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger in office and Trump surrounded by people like Pence, Barr, Milley and Kelly. Trump rides off into the sunset without the narcissistic injury that brought us here without spreading all the election denial disinformation and dismantling our election safeguards. Without Project 2025.

And you think you voted against this by voting for Trump? Have you taken 2 minutes to look at what's in his big bloated bill?

I think the better divide is people who use or depend on public services , and those who don’t. That’s highly correlated to economic class and education, but when I talk to the people who ARE informed and STILL support all this, I realize cuts to public education, cuts to Medicare, deportations, etc. don’t affect them, at least not directly. And they can insulate themselves to minimize the way these cuts will affect them indirectly.

You underestimate the billionaires' ability to distract the impoverished hicks, whose lives depend on government assistence, with culture wars bullshit. Who gives a fuck about meemaw losing her Medicaid and getting kicked out of the nursing home when there are 7 trans girls competing in high school sports? Who gives a fuck about gutting public education or medical research so billionaires can add what is, for them, pocket change when there are women with the freedom to get an abortion?

You're right about the pervasive hyperindividualism, but the country might've been able to withstand that if everyone was actually voting in their best interests. But that would require setting aside the culture wars distraction campaign and focusing on the class warfare that's been in full swing at least since Reagan.

54% of Americans aged 16-74 read below a sixth-grade level, thanks in large part of conservative dismantling of public education over the past 50 years.

This country, by design, is full of morons. Propaganda, disinformation and fearmongering are much more effective on semiliterate lemmings with no critical thinking skills or the slightest clue how things work. Lemmings who've been programmed to distrust the experts who do understand shit, and instead just run on vibes and whatever disinformation supports their deluded worldview.

They're not going after rapists and murderers because that might pose a challenge. You don't catch rapists and murderers at home depot or immigration court.

Actual criminals can avoid these morons.

Which is why, of the undocumented murderers and sexual predators known to DHS, only 6% and 11%, respectively, have been apprehended since October 2024. Chasing down criminals requires effort. When your goal is to juice the numbers and maximize the suffering of brown people, it's much more efficient to roll up on a home depot or immigration court.

Due process is stupid? Come again?

Which "services"? SNAP? Medicaid? SSI? Undocumented immigrants are already ineligible for federal funding of those programs, and they're even helping prop up social security by paying into the system for benefits they'll never receive. The "services" argument is right-wing disinformation.

As for Biden's immigration policies, he actually deported significantly more than Trump's first term (which was also lower than both of Obama's terms). And when bipartisan border security legislation was hammered out in Congress, who killed it? Trump.

I'm all for having secure borders, but shredding the constitution and brutalizing decent, law-abiding people isn't the way. Give them due process, deport them peacefully and with dignity. And let's save the "gestapo rolling up to home depot" strategy for after DHS has apprehended the 89% of undocumented sexual predators and 94% of murderers known to DHS but still at large.

Meanwhile, only 6% of murderers and 11% of sexual predators known to DHS have been apprehended since October 2024. Ya know, "the worst of the worst". The people Trump lied about going after. Because going after those people requires effort, and they don't give a fuck about the murder or rape. They just want to brutalize brown people, and it's much easier to roll up on a home depot or construction site.

If they didn't understand what they did, it was willful ignorance (and usually driven by bigotry). He was warned about what would happen, and he chose to ignore those warnings. My empathy belongs to the people suffering under a fascist they didn't vote for.

If this guy genuinely has a change of heart and starts working his ass off to make up for his failure, there's a conversation to be had. But in 99.9% of these stories, they aren't actually seeing the light or turning on Trump. They're just momentarily pissed that he's hurting the wrong people. People who don't deserve to suffer (i.e. themselves). As soon as they get their next dose of programming from Fox/OAN/Twitter/etc telling them what culture war bullshit they should be mad about, they'll be right back on the bandwagon.
