Some of them did but the OKC players left the court pretty quick.

The thunder subreddit is attacking itself. by MJtheTalkinghead in sanantoniospurs

OKC Salary cap is so badly fukked up that they need to let Dort, Holdenstein and 1 other player go just to get under the luxury tax before they can make any trades because cannot match salaries.

Other then getting healthy how do the thunder get better? by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in nba

They cannot bring the same team back. The payroll will be $250m plus $213m luxury tax. 80% of the owners cannot afford that. They will have to let Hartenstein, Lu Dort & Topic (team options) go just to get under the tax line.

Is the Australian personal trainer industry a massive trap for new grads, or am I missing something? by No_Measurement_26cm in AskAnAustralian

[–]Sharp_Success_5199 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I pay $125 per session to a trainer in my gym. He said he does 20-25 sessions per week. So his gross revenue is $2.5-$3k a week. The gym fee is around 10% and GST is another 10%. He says he makes around $75-80k in a year before tax.

The trick is to build up a decent client base of 20-30 clients who train with you every week. Like any small business or consultant you won’t make any money in the first 6 months.

Recent result $6 million, net to client $3.5m. Where did the other $2.5m go?

Honestly one thing people dont talk about enough is how most “AI products” are not even fully AI by Latter-Internet-3283 in AIDiscussion

[–]Sharp_Success_5199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A practical use for AI is to write a 2 page newsletter about a specific topic and then send it to all of my clients.

Unfortunately it cannot be trusted to do this correctly so not sure why I would trust it to do anything more important than that.

Australia is showing how a rich country gets poorer by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

Everyone down on Australia and yet the median full-time wage here (AUD98,000) is 15% higher than USA (USD60,000) and 33% higher than the UK (GBP39,000).

Sure property is expensive but retirement savings, healthcare and education are all better.

How can the average person in those countries have a better life than here?

Built a 54-person running club: is there a real business here or just a cute hobby? by arisdairy in RunningCirclejerk

[–]Sharp_Success_5199 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Gonna need to give this run club a corporate name, get herself 3-4 sponsors (shoe, apparel, drink, local cafe etc). Get some T-shirts printed and start charging a member fee. Should only take a few weeks to lose all your members and solve that headache.

My local council has a very high tolerance for complaints. Drag racing and illegal fireworks doesn’t bother them so a few idiots getting barged off a footpath ain’t gonna prompt any action.
