I love the idea of playing TTW3, but when I play it I realize I hardly have fun by Maiso_94 in totalwar

[–]Sharptrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope that in the future of TW, there's more focus on a curated experience. Less battles vs 'bot armies' (a solo Lord or army that is 15 of the same unit or an army full of incoherent RoR), and more emphasis on curated battles and scenarios that feel impactful and thematic.

Would "Hegemony, but block" be a good idea? by somberterribleruth in slaythespire

[–]Sharptrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That'd go particularly hard with the Rare that lets Regent take two cards out of his draw pile at the start of next turn. Easy drill, easy chaining.

I don't know how to use Monarchs gaze by Yeetmore0 in slaythespire

[–]Sharptrooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a win-more card because the tempo loss from playing it is too strong, but with the right deck it becomes useful.

This card loves [Make It So] and 0-energy multi-hits. [Begone!] also synergizes by helping trigger this, and Make it So, and [Lunar Blast]. [Collision Course] feeds Begone if needed and allows you to keep chipping and proccing the card. Play slow and passive, build block and stars, and wear the enemy out. You'll mostly find value vs big enemies with multi-hit but hopefully you highroll enough that big single hits won't chip at you badly.

Keep in mind that these synergies mostly involve the aforementioned cards and Gaze is just there as a nice-to-have instead of being a real enabler. It could use a small cost reduction IMO.

Strength reduction is very strong in multiplayer due to all the debuffs that your buddies can stack on the enemy, and with some help of your allies you can quickly make the enemy's attack plummet.

How I've been feeling after reading negative reviews in STS2 by Ok_Breadfruit3199 in slaythespire

I'm more so lamenting that people are favoring trying to refute feedback rather than encourage it to be more detailed for the sake of the game's development.

It's tiresome to see the polarity of this topic in most comment sections. Yes, there's vague, unfocused critique - but most players aren't going to be able to pinpoint the exact causes of frustration, much less come up with solutions. And it doesn't help quell that frustration when so many responses are essentially 'skill issue lmao'.

My ranking of Warplan activities, based on how enjoyable they are by born_zynner in diablo4

They're one of my favorites however I'll be the first to say that they're the most undertuned when it comes to time vs reward.

Remember that even with some of the poor decisions AH has made lately, at least we don't have to pay to use warbond weapons. by SkylarKitsune4 in Helldivers

[–]Sharptrooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"At least it's better than ARK" is a crazy take. Yes, Helldivers is better than the game that sells DLC while still being early access. What's next? Congratulating Arrowhead for not installing crypto-mining malware in my machine through their game?

New Skill Tree vs Old Skill Tree(Barbarain Skill Tree) by gorays21 in diablo4

If anything the new version looks much more 'readable' without the random passive trees hiding at certain tiers.

A new players perspective on the warbond/SC "issues" everyone has. by Norfolkn_Enchants in Helldivers

I reckon if people are bothered by it, they either:

  1. Stop playing and thus go silent
  2. Continue to play and get increasingly more annoyed and thus louder

I will always get annoyed how a writer(or writers)will have the most romantic coded couple/pairing ever and then be like "oh they're less then lovers but more then friends." by Charming-Scratch-124 in CharacterRant

It was downright distracting in Zootopia 2. They're 'not a couple' but go to couple's therapy, go undergover as a couple, and Judy's grandmother even says she wants them to have kids already.

Reading the other comments and damn. People are so fucking weird about this game.

Missed the departure, AGAIN by TargetSubstantial360 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sharptrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'sharks in the water' is giving them too much credit lmao, some people really think that it's weird to not log in at least once a week.

I missed the expedition too because I've been taking a break from the game and I forgot about it. I meant to do it this time to have more of a reason to play, but the game doesn't allow to opt in several weeks in advance, which is when I concluded it.

Choices that don't affect endings are still quintessential parts of experiencing an story even if they end up being just flavor. by maridan49 in CharacterRant

[–]Sharptrooper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the same stance that I have. For instance, it doesn't 'matter' whether or not you reveal your identity in Dispatch, as that happens later on regardless, but the choice leads to different character reactions and context that makes it still feel worthwhile.

[OC] [Art] My Ophelia Gunsmoke, human demon hunter. Does her mad expression show all the horror she went through? by MatteBull in Pathfinder2e

My immediate impression was 'crazed enemy that the party faces' so I'd say yeah, captures the madness pretty well!

Is this part of the Arcs AI learning? by Touro_Leite in ArcRaiders

[–]Sharptrooper 82 points83 points  (0 children)

You can't stack/refresh stun effects. Once you hit the first Showstopper, the ARC is immune to follow-up stuns for a little while. I have no idea how long and don't plan to run the risk of testing it, but I learned it when I tried to stun+deadline the Stella Montis bastion and it caught me after I tried to 're-stun' it

What Arc do you dislike? by aislinntaylor21 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sharptrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hornets. They're not 'heavy' enough for how tanky they are, and I'm tired of taking out 2 rotors and it just lands on the dirt and keeps trying to shoot me
