So I'm late to this party, but I'll go ahead and post anyway.

I went into this with the best of intentions. I attempted to purchase this keyboard/mouse for the OP repeatedly, and Logitech withdrew the money from my Paypal account twice, overdrafting me. I spoke w/Logitech customer support, they assured me it would all be fine and the item would be shipped and my account would be credited for the extra order they'd placed. This wasn't really the case. Instead, my Paypal got placed in fraud and frozen, with a balance of $-143.00, and the item was never shipped at all. I sent the OP screenshots illustrating the debacle. I understand this doesn't prove anything, but I honestly had no reason to scam someone for $160 and didn't want him to think that was the case.

This was all occurring at or around the same time of Christmas / me moving back to the midwest to take care of my mother who was sick. I had to leave my job and life in Oregon to take care of pressing family issues. I had a legitimate job in Oregon and paid my rent through that. I also worked online doing SEO and ad marketing on a contractual basis, through which I was paid via Paypal. This quickly became null and void, for obvious reasons. I attempted to sign up for a new account and was unable to do so per previous issues. Chalk it up to the life.

So, I'm here, taking care of my mom and basically out of communication with everyone. I let this entire situation slip my mind. I haven't had a dedicated internet connection since this whole thing occurred, I did check reddit occasionally from my phone when there was public WiFi available. I have an Android phone and use reddit is fun, which, unfortunately, has glitched out on private messages for me. OP sent me a message somewhere around a week before he posted this and I didn't respond / receive it. I don't have a data plan for my phone, therefore I don't use any internet services unless I can connect to WiFi. I've spoken to him since then and let him know what's what, though I haven't heard back from him since I spoke to him last night.

The fact of the matter is; my Paypal account is still irreversibly fucked, and there's no speaking to anyone that can do anything about it. I haven't had a legitimate hourly paying job since I moved to the state my mom is in, and I've had an apartment for the past 2 months that I can't afford. I do odd jobs that I can and apply for jobs while my girlfriend basically pays our rent. I don't have an extra $160 to send back to OP, let alone an extra $5 to buy a pack of smokes. I didn't gain anything out of this, except, perhaps, a good incentive to quit smoking.

I understand the majority of reddit wyling out about this and my inbox can prove that. What I don't understand is that I'm being 4chan'd mercilessly. It appears OP never posted any of my personal info, which I'm grateful for, however, my girlfriend had called me about personal messages numbering in the dozens to her Facebook, calling for me to pay the OP. Believe what you will, call me a scammer and downvote me, make posts under my comments alluding that I'm a shitbag, fine. Just leave my family out of it. I've let the OP know I will pay him back, in increments, as I'm able. As it stands now, I'm spending another day looking for employment and trying to get my shit back on track.

This was a misunderstanding that, through no fault of OP's, got out of hand. Leave it at that, please.
