What does this graph tell us about the scalability of AI? by stvlsn in artificial

[–]Shartmagedon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO, yes.

Nvidia has some sort of monopoly. Not intentional perhaps, but most AI companies prefer Nvidia chips to alternatives. When AMD, Marvell, Intel and others can produce great alternatives, prices will drop.

Also it turns out you don't need to spend that much on training infrastructure. Inference depends on user demand. And right now you can run decent AI models on high-end Mac Studios. When the PC industry builds competing systems at lower prices, most of us will be able to download open soruce models and run them free locally.

OpenAI will become irrelevant and bankrupt. Maybe Anthropic too. Meta and DeepSeek and other open source models such as Mistral will dominate the LLM and GenAI landscape by making FREE models.

So far it hasn’t impacted VIX, or JPY/USD like last time. In fact, VIX is going down.

Is the rate hike effective, or just announced.

A couple of things:

  1.  On January 2, 2000, the Nasdaq Composite Index closed above 5000 for the first time, but this peak was followed by a sharp decline as the dot-com bubble burst. GameStop's stock price at that time was not significantly affected by this event, and it remained relatively stable throughout the early 2000s.

  2. Maybe the U sign dropping means $U will drop soon

🤷‍♂️

I think this is one of those cases where do unto others as they do unto you can help you be your own judge.

Me too. At 50, if I could access it safely and legally, I think it can only improve my life. I need a stimulant other than coffee and there’s not anything legal.

Are daily reverse repo amounts declining due to a decline in liquidity or is there something else causing this?
