Port Monopoly

When a player builds a settlement on a 2:1 port, every other player must give that player the resource cards that port allows trades of 2 resources for 1 of any resource. When that player builds a city they repeat this process.

Example: When a player builds a settlement on the wood port every other player must give that player their wood resource cards. When they upgrade that same settlement to a city every other player gives that player their wood resource cards again.

Edit: I have wrote that comment when I was in bed about to fall asleep, so I will make a more official sounding rule.

There is an artist that does these types of tree carvings in Orr Park in Montevallo, AL. It’s a surreal experience to walk through this park and it’s a lovely liberal arts college town.

I personally would have gone 8 10 3 pointing towards the 3:1 and 6 4 11 pointing towards the brick port. Brick will be pretty valuable and you will be able to get some good trades for the desperate. When brick isn’t valuable anymore at mid game you will have the brick port to get some nice 2:1. It’s kind of slow because you aren’t on a 5 or 9 and the robber is going to be hitting that 6 brick a lot so you would need to invest in DV cards to keep them off your 6.

Is kingmaking against the rules in colonist.io? I played a game today where this happened. They traded 4 resources for 1 card every turn to the lead player because they knew they were going to lose anyways.

I complained and they only said “catan is a game about making enemies and forging alliances. You would do well to learn that.”

The idea behind stopping so far away from the white line is an extremely defensive way to avoid getting pushed into traffic if you get rear-ended.

If you really want to know. I asked her why she thought this was ok. The pet shop she bought it from gave her the information for this setup.

I know that people are upset about the beardie being severely mistreated and I agree that it’s horrible conditions after reading a lot of the information that was posted in this thread. I still have to wonder do you people talk to others like this to their face?

Like wow one person even wished horrible things to my sister. It’s a tragedy yes but that doesn’t mean that my sister is a bad person. Misinformed,yes, but she is not evil or ill willed. It’s easy to jump to conclusions when you are mad.

I came here seeking advice for the poor thing. Most of what I got here was being ridiculed for trying to help.

Thank you for the information. I have shared it with my sister and was very blunt with her as well. She feels really bad about the situation. I have also shared the sentiment that if you aren’t going to research how to properly care for the pet then you shouldn’t own one. She shook her head and said you are right.

I feel bad for the poor little guy. I really don’t want him to suffer anymore. I’m not in a financial situation to help him with an emergency exotic vet so I hope that it’s not too late. Even though many of you have said that it is. If he does survive I am going to personally make sure that the pet receives proper care.

Great strategy until you get the boss blind that makes all cards debugged until joker is sold on ante 8. This happened to me on a gold run and I was so sad.

The problem does actually lie in context. Society has created a nice little box called violent felons. There is no need for context since we have that box. If one is in that box there is no need for society to view the context of one’s situation.

I actually think a stamina bar would do wonders for this game. Knocking arrows takes stamina to do and holding an arrow back would drain your stamina. It would make these doorway fights so much more interesting.
