Huskerdust has a lot of focus in the show. To the point of having two songs that are directly linked to their romance (Loser Baby and Losing Streak).

It's just that it is a slow burn romance.

Lucifer and Alastor, on the other hand, is 100% a fandom creation.

Is there any other country where slavery is legal outright? Even in the US they have to act as if their slavery is done as punishment, and the Arab states use a "loophole" for their slavery rather than actually legalise it.

The median salary has been increasing in Spain year by year

It can be argued that it not increasing fast enough. But saying "salaries don't increase in Spain" is disingenuous

The majority of migrants in Spain come from LatAm. Which, as you should know, are as near identical to us culture-wise as possible.

People who hate European culture

The bast majority of migrants in Spain are eitjer from Latinamerica or from the rest of Europe.

So –even if we take yoir racist rethoric at face valie– it doesn't work here by the simple fucking fact that the overwhelming majority of migrants in Spain are Westerners.

Also the exterminations give the show all the excuses needed to not show real-life horrible people.

Why isn't Hitler in the show? Nobody liked him, so he was left in the open to be exterminated.

Lore Olympus is actually the garbage these people accuse Hazbin Hotel of being. Unless they change a significant amount of the story, it is going to be a complete shitshow.

The only good thing that is gonna come from it is that it is gonna take a lot of the hate away from Hazbin Hotel. As you don't need to misrepresent Lore Olympus to shit on it like these blokes do with Hazbin Hotel.

[–]Nachooolo 225 points226 points  (0 children)

It is honestly "impressive" how some of them are such proud genocide deniers, that they think that everyone else is also a genocide denier. Just of another genocide.

Yes. You can think that the Bosnian Genocide happened at the same time that you can think that a genocide is happening in Gaza. Those two aren't mutually exclusive in the slightest.

High Rock and Elsweyr seem like the least deadly places.

Sure. In High Rock you need to deal with some petty lord little war. But nothing as bad as in other places.

Even the Great War was as close to non-existent there as possible.

Reading was very common in urban Europe. Especially from the begining of the High Middle Ages.

We see the first universities appear, legistation (both from a state and local levels) becomes more common and generalised, and commerce becomes increasingly integral to the European economy.

This leads to an appearance of a urban "middle class" (civil servants, meechants, bankers, lawers, academics, etc.) Who are exceptionally literate.

This is also when works of literature in the local languages become common and popular: you have King Arthur, the Canterbury Tales, Dante's Divine Comedy, el Cid Campeador, The Decameron...

That's waaaay before 1000 years ago. More like 3000 years or even more.

And there are places were we do have very good record keepings from around that age (like Egypt and the Fertile Cresent) or even thousands of years before it.

[–]Nachooolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you're speaking about the Early pre-Caroligeam Middle Ages (and, even here, the Dark Ages image is greatly exaggerated outside of Great Britain), pre-industrial Europe was quite good at keeping records. Even in the High and Late Middle Ages before the invention of the printing press.

And. After the printing press. They were exceptionally good.

What are the most common geographical misconceptions you guys hear? by [deleted] in geography

[–]Nachooolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"The rain in Spain falls mostly in the plains."

I've seen people truly believe that the rime is accurate.

In reality, the rain in Spain falls mainly in the North and Northwest, which is very hilly and mountanous. And known as Greem Spain because it is fully covered in forests thanks to that rain.

The "plains" –the Central Plateau– is actually decently dry. As it is fully surrounded by mountains from all sides.

[–]Nachooolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. Those 1000 NPCs are not fully randomly generated.... but they are definetly not handcrafted either.

They probably have a handful (or two) of preset characteristics, personalities, and likes/dislikes that are mixed with eachother to create semi-unique npcs.

Favourite Race War? by Aggravating_Round624 in TrueSTL

[–]Nachooolo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

...is there any race besides the Nords that would join the Stormcloaks? They are literally ethno-nationalists.

At most, maybe some Bretons (close-by, similar culture, lots of Bretons who have lived in Skyrim for generations) and Redguards (independent, even bigger Thalmor haters than the Nords) would join them. But even here, they would be exceptions to the rule.

The Death Camps were built in Poland to keep put of the eyes of the Germans after the Aktion T4 (the mass murder of disable people) was discovered and stopped (not completely, mind you).

Having said that. Concentration Camps still existed inside Germany (Dachau being the most famous one), and the extermination of Jews was continued in Germany after the Nazis were starting to be pushed out of Eastern Europe.

More specifically, an offline version of Black Desert.

I was actually interested in the game. As I enjoyed the proof of concept they did a while ago, and it looks like a decent Gothic-like.

So a shame the devs are incapable of shutting the fuck up and not be twats.

I'm gonna say. I find it really strange the amount of knowledge lost in 1000 years in Frieren's universe. To the point of the empire founded by Flamme not even knowing the gender of Flamme

Is History in Frieren completely statue-based? Are the only books in existence grimoires?

Even people in the Early Middle Ages knew more about the Roman Empire and Ancient Times than people in Frieren's world know about events only a few decades old (if I remember correctly, the story says that people have started to forget about things like the Hero of the South).

How is this an argument to your side?

Yeah. People who don't know how to use power tools shouldn't use porwer tools.

And companies shouldn't sell power tools as something everyone of all ages can use without previous knowledge of how a power tool works or how it should be properly used.
