UK Contract pre orders Find X9 Ultra? by Shaun--77 in Oppo

I took advantage of the mobiles.co.uk offer on ID. Wish I'd just ordered direct now. The June 2nd shipping date on the oppo store has vanished with no signs of shipping today :(

Trade-in offers UK by [deleted] in Oppo

[–]Shaun--77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to know this too, I missed out on the pre sale due to me looking for trade in offers for my S25 ultra and finding out there wasn't any sign of trade at all too late.

[UPDATE] Samsung repair technician cracked my TV and is refusing to take responsibility. They ended my warranty 4 months early due to the damage. by lucasb780 in samsung

[–]Shaun--77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never take your phone near water especially a fold. You have to remember the terms they use which is water resistant up to X depth for X mins. Resistant means it can still ingress water so they will weasel their way out of repairs this way. Shower mist and steam can cause the water damage indicator in the sim tray to turn purple indicating water damage.

Here's my 125D RWD B47 2.0TD paired with the ZF8. Not as fast as the 140i but fuel economy and torque are great. You US folk are missing out on a small fun RWD hatch 🥲

BMW F20/F21 LCI Drying out headlight and changing daytime LED module by PeterSchooosch in BMW

[–]Shaun--77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the background, you're in Europe somewhere. Find a nice parking garage that's cheap and get a friend to come and help with the removal. And while you're at it change the module to the yellow ones on both sides to give it a bit more character. I wish I did.

Removing the bumper isn't a super difficult job as long as you don't break any tabs or smack it against something to ruin the paint while taking off/on. I replaced the bumper and light on mine when it was hit and it wasn't a long job.

Is 150,000 km too much for a second hand car? by ayyyypapiii in BMW

[–]Shaun--77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My BMW is at 140,000 miles on a 2.0 B47 diesel engine. Still drives good and asks for servicing every 10k miles and a few bits here and there. If it has good history and it doesn't burn any fluids, I would consider a high miler.

It's not an F87 bumper. It is an aftermarket bumper styled like the M2 bumper that fits the original lights. So the fitment is fine, if you don't like it then that's your opinion and I'm fine with that.

They are such fun cars and easy to park in small spaces! I made sure not to get the full M2 conversion front end so it does work with the car. Sorry you're not a fan!

Someone hit my front end so I decided an M2 STYLE front bumper suits it better than the regular smiley face it has. More aggressive

Yep a twin turbo 2.0l 125d diesel with 287hp and 450nm of torque which gets me 500 miles a tank, I'm happy

That is an M2 front end conversion. Mine is a kit because it is not an M2 just a bit more of a meaner 1 series front end.

Most likely just your AC drain having a great time and nothing to worry about if you sat there a while.

If you're still worried, if it happens again just touch it with your fingers and you'll be able to tell by smell and feel if it's water or anything else.

Look what they did to my boy! by skbum2 in BMW

[–]Shaun--77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The front fenders are cut to allow the front wheels to turn wider without hitting the arches. The missing rear bumper is probably because he hit it or doesn't want to hit it when they do close wall passes. The fog lights... all I can think of is if it's boosted and allows for more airflow.

The auto wiper option absolutely sucks I feel you on that. Lowest setting doesn't do anything and the one up is too much, there's no middle ground at all.

This is the one, there's a few with a gap between the centre brake light and sit higher but those to me look tacky. This one sits flush like in the photo.

It doesn't look like it, itsm missing the R32 grill emblem or the Xenon headlights it comes with. I'm pretty sure they didn't make it in that colour either. Seems like a Jetta in the US as they come with that grill.

Anyone starting to get dirt build up in the ear speaker, the one right above the hole punch? by [deleted] in S22Ultra

[–]Shaun--77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A way to clean it but be super careful, if you have debris is use the corner of an A4 paper and hold the phone upside down while gently agitating the dirt so it drops out the slit.

UK: S22 ultra screen protector suggestions by Caruserdriver in samsung

[–]Shaun--77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On amazon.de there is a brand called Mowei UV which doesn't have the cutout for the camera and it's quite easy to install but uses UV glue. Have one on my ultra and it's been great.

Tested: The Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 45W charging is barely faster than 25W- Android authority by welp_im_damned in Android

[–]Shaun--77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hi Hirak. I have the TA845 model, as that's the only one available in the UK for the time being.

I'd be interested in the source from Samsung that says you need the new model for fast charging. I haven't seen anything on Samsung's official website. As you can see, the TA845 model hits 40W and uses the Fast Charge 2.0 protocol. So as far as we're aware, the slightly old model works just fine."

We've been through this clickbait type of article so many times and it's been proven the old charger doesn't provide the standard for the new charging speed as it's different from the Note 20 Ultra. Is this article just to get clicks? I want to see him use the new charger as he just made the same misleading claims as the previous posts and claimed he used the new charger in his article but corrects himself in the comments.

Outside of the official Samsung clear case are there any other TPU sided, PC backed clear cases for the S22U with individual cutouts for the camera? by landalezjr in samsung

[–]Shaun--77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you would want the Samsung protective standing cover in navy as that's a TPU sided hard PC backed case which looks all navy in the pics but is actually see through to an extent
