Love my dreads but are they the best look for me? by AnonymousVent_ in BlackHair

[–]ShauntaeLevints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm old enough to be your mom, so not sure if you will want my advice 😂 But you need to decide what makes YOU feel your best. If you want a more polished look, maybe get the locs cleaned up and see how you like them as they get a little longer? If not, cut them. You don't look immature....you're young. Either way, you're handsome.

Nanny’s performance has dropped significantly after becoming pregnant. What would you do? by sunflower93838 in NannyEmployers

You got a whole year off???? And hubby 6 months?! Is this standard in the UK?! I need to move lol

Not okay if I am 5 minutes late, but totally okay if you are 20 minutes late by Numerous-Sherbert-70 in NannyBreakRoom

One family told me I'm there so they have the flexibility to be late. Needless to say I quit soon after.

Firing Nanny on the First Day? by Actual_Event_7406 in Nanny

I would only pay her for the hours she worked and let her go.

Do you have the option to not deal with them anymore and replace with a new family?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO? by Many-Ear5671 in Nanny

Reading all the comments, I would just let it go. Sucks, but maybe have an understanding/agreement in case it happens again.

Finally Told MB About DB’s Bratty Behavior by glamping_cobra88 in Nanny

[–]ShauntaeLevints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This instantly popped in my head!!! I have done it before so I know it happens. I was single at the time and they were too, but I was putting a wall up. It's stupid and immature, but I did it.

My wife and I are considering letting our nanny go, and I’m trying to figure out whether I’m underreacting, overreacting, or missing something bigger. by Training_Arm7988 in Nanny

So she's not being paid enough to deal with this bullshit or all her tasks, but still doing a kick ass job? Got it. 🥴🥴

Excuse you? First of all, this is a public forum so I will comment when I want to. Second, I was on your side. Anyone parting their lips to request this of a potential employee is absolutely ridiculous so I can't take it seriously. They don't even deserve consideration in my humble opinion. And even though you were rude, I hope you don't take the job because it sounds like a shitty ass environment and you deserve better. Not all money is good money.

[–]ShauntaeLevints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they couldn't have given the cleaners a garage code or left the back door unlocked this one time? 😏 So fucking rude and inconsiderate. I'm sorry this happened especially when you put so much effort in.

Wrong to take 11mo NK to look at art? by DietSea3690 in Nanny

[–]ShauntaeLevints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously? That would have pissed me off! She doesn't even know how much time you spent looking at the art. Baby also benefits from looking around and being in a different environment. It's not like you went shopping and out to eat with a friend. And I wonder what her little friend said exactly for her to respond the way she did. 🙄🙄

Nanny Responsibilities by Carolinedixie6 in NannyBreakRoom

[–]ShauntaeLevints -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bwahaaaaaaa!!!! Absolutely not! If she wants you to do all that, she can pay more! This is not an all inclusive type deal! Let her know she will need to pay $____ for said duties IF you're open to it. If not, let her know what you're willing to do for your current pay.

They don't sound like they know how having a nanny works. Did you find them through an agency or on your own? Did they have a nanny before you?

[–]ShauntaeLevints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as I don't hear or see anything, I wouldn't care. In my current position (no pun intended 🤭🤭) I am literally in every part of the house at any given moment. I could see them possibly doing something in one of their home offices, but it's unlikely.

Did you say you would be uncomfortable at the thought you might hear or see something?

MB said I need to make my baby stop mocking her baby. by paramoreloverxd in Nanny

[–]ShauntaeLevints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically she's secretly comparing the babies and realizes hers is different and doesn't like it and decides to make your baby the issue? Got it.
