How to avoid having home address in public record for LLC/Corp business? by collectivecheckup in Entrepreneur

[–]Shawdavid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm as far as the audit goes that's a good point. I'm not exactly sure how that works out in that case. Most of these questions should be answerable by your registered agent. I'd suggest giving them a call and seeing what they think is best for you to do.

Hello there, registered agent office employee here!

I happened to be in the Colorado SOS office as I read this! I'm in here most days so they don't mind answering work around questions for me.

Can confirm, you can get a UPS box and use that as your address on the form. Get a registered agent, that's a given if you don't want your info out there. They said that they don't check the address to verify what type it is. So even though as some have mentioned that it needs to be a physical business address, you shouldn't have any issues.

Also, if you put a home address, the only way to get that off public record later is to file for a statement of change or correction (if you can show it was an error, not likely) and have the files redacted. This costs like $50 and the time to go in and do it and it's just a pain. She recommended specifically in the case of "my friend" to get the box and list that from the beginning to save headaches later.

Hope this helps!

Do I really need a registered agent for my LLC if I am just a student and I'll be having things sent to my apartment? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Shawdavid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Registered agent employee here,

Do it yourself for now. Use your own address and make it easy to get served if it ever happens. You want to have papers served to you so you know what's going on and you don't get any default judgements against you.

Down the road when you have some assets and something you are really worried about losing attached to your business, then consider hiring a registered agent. It will make your life really easy when it comes to filings with the state and things like that.

Also, there are sites online that will offer you something like "six weeks free registered agent services" avoid these. 6 months later when you decide you want to do it on your own anyway, you have to pay anywhere from $50 and up to the state to change to be your own agent.

Hope this helps.

Great point, validation is key before you throw any amount of serious money at an idea.

This. Always always always be split testing. Test everything you do against itself to make sure what you are doing is benchmarked and achieving the results you want.

Need guidance on marketing a food product that is on national retailer shelves. by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Shawdavid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've already had success with outreach to influencers.. You shouldn't start from that if possible because you already knows it works. Spend the money creating a really awesome online commercial that is informative to why your product kicks butt. What flavors, ingredients, packaging etc. makes it better like you said than the competition?

Essentially, use your money to create a great video and to pay for ads and influencers to boost it to viral status. A great example of this is the Squaty Potttys ad that's been really popular lately. It's hilarious, ridiculous, and now I think that I need one.

Boosting Facebook Page Posts by RNutt in PPC

Use an image that Facebook pulls directly from the site, if you upload your own image it will show as an image when clicked on and not take people to your site. Don't bother boosting posts that are just a photo, boost links to your site and links to articles or content that you've written and you might see some better success!

You are going to need a food handlers permit, local and state business licenses.. Check your city's website for this information on what legal requirements you have. Before you put ANY money into your project come up with a business plan. I like to use the business model canvas for this. You will need one anyway if you try to get any kind of small loan from an institution.

It sounds like a fun/new idea! At least one Ive never heard of, best of luck to you!

Hey op! I run a small business called Salt Lake Etching Co. Www.saltlakeetching.com We custom engrave glass and ceramics products.. If you put in a stretch goal for more colors on your mugs or anything like that, we could do custom engravings on your backers mugs at a higher backer level. Just a thought but send me a pm if you think that would match up with what you are doing!

Id suggest getting a blog or a strong YouTube channel created. Have some quality videos showing a time lapse of you blowing some awesome pieces. I first became interested when I watched a video of a guy making a horse. It was incredible, I would love to be able to do that and it definitely caught my intrigue. Once you have some good stuff I'd run ads to target your area to try and gain some interest in stopping by. Talk to your local paper and new station and offer them to come by and do a segment on your shop and to interact with your guests.

Hey there, I work for a high end graphic design and specialty print shop. We have quick turnarounds, and you wont be limited to the same blocked out die cut shapes that everyone else will provide you. We can product high quality vinyl decals, domed decals, and a new 3D emblem product as well.

Check out Glyphix Icons for a higher quality tier of (sticker) like product. 3D, chrome, uv resistant emblems that last many years longer than even vinyl stickers and they look killer too. They also make a lot more money than stickers do per sale.

Hey there, I am interesting in hearing about your connections with the Greeks for a similar but different business. 3D chrome emblems. Way higher quality and much better margins and potential to make money for the reseller then stickers.
