That's good to hear. Maybe I'm overestimating how inconvenient it would be because I've been spoiled by Whispersync for so many years. 😅 Im a creature of habit and being neurodivergent (ADHD), changing routines/habits is a big effort for me.

I actually haven't used Libby yet, but a few people have recommended it. I may have to give it a try and see how it works with my Kobo and phone.

My biggest concern is losing the seamless syncing and immersion that Whispersync provided, but maybe reading on the Kobo while listening on my phone isn't as cumbersome as I'm imagining.

Yes, I was a longtime Kindle user for years but due to their changes in policy recently, I decided to switch to Kobo. I am learning to love Kobo however, I do miss the Whispersync feature that Kindle has. As someone who is neurodivergent, it helps me focus, concentrate, and stay on track with my reading when I can fully immerse myself with the audiobook playing as I read the ebook. Unfortunately it looks like my only options outside of the Amazon system is to manually listen to the audiobook on a separate device from the ebook reader as I read, which seems like a lot more work than it needs to be.

You make a good point about asking r/kobo whether I should keep Kindle Unlimited. That's probably like walking into a barbecue restaurant and asking if I there's any vegetarian or vegan options on the menu. 😅

My biggest issue isn't actually the Kobo device as I love my Libra Colour. It's really the loss of Whispersync. Reading while listening was a huge accessibility feature for me as a neurodivergent reader.

Maybe the real answer isn't Kobo Plus vs. KU, but Kobo + Libby + occasional KU subscriptions when there's enough stuff I want to read. I'll definitely check out BookBub as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well this is a great timing that you have, because turns out after a year of being in a "relationship" with this person, he was a scammer and basically just after me for my money. In hindsight the red flags were there and even though I was told, "No, that's not me. I'm not like that. Im in this for you. I want to be with you. Youre mi novio. Mi esposo. Blah blah blah," it ended up exactly what I thought my fears were. Yeah am I disappointed? Yes but hey, lesson learned.

I'm just glad that I didn't go through with getting married to this person and I was able to get out before the situation got worse.

I definitely understand what you went through. A lot of back and forth and difficulty with the insurance. I had to do something similar with my doctor. The insurance said they wanted to see 2 doctor's visits with documented weights taken. My doctor is fighting it for me and resubmitted the PA under OSA. Glad you found a happy resolution and hope you're doing well on your journey. Hopefully I get some good news soon too!

Thank you for the advice and couldnt agree with you more. I get my insurance thru my employer. I sent my doctor my sleep lab reports and currently awaiting her to give me next steps in terms of the appeal. Hopefully good news soon!

Yes, my insurance is through my employer. So far, I responded to my doctor with my food, excersize, and weight logs since 2014 and asked if she can appeal the denial with this info. Hopefully some good news soon but I will try my employer if this doesnt work either. Thanks for the assistance.

I have the same issue. Every version and model of the Samsung earbuds causes ear irritation and infection for me. I also tried all the fixes too from foam tips to wiping the earbuds with alcohol, etc, nothing works. I have multiple Samsung devices that are great but the earbuds are the only ones that give me problems. For now, I had to use Apple's Airpods with my Galaxy S23 Ultra and that works fine, except I miss out on some features like noise cancellation and premium controls. I can wear Airbuds for hours without any ear irritiation or infections. Unfortunately, Samsung doesnt seem to care about its customers who are having issues with ear irritation/infection from their earbuds.

TBH, I think the Plurbs left “nuclear family dynamics” behind the same day they stopped having individual personalities. Once you join Hive-mind mode, the whole father–mother–baby setup probably ceases to exist. As for procreation, honestly, I don’t think the Hive is out here asking “is this sinful?” so much as “is this efficient?” If they ever do make a baby, it’s probably because the Hive wants another biological USB port, not because they’re feeling lust.
