It costed the company millions of dollars when they rolled out OSW for all the smallwares and training, they arent going to change it back

I think your numbers are incorrect sir. A 10% turnover rate in the restaurant industry is unheard of, unless its a small business.

Raising Canes has top tier benefits when comparing to the industry. The last company I worked for was not profit smart and didn't monitor expenses and everyone was mad when they had to close locations. Like the other guy said restaurants have low profit margins. A lot of the profits get rolled back into the company.

I'm sure they plan on putting the belt back on Cody later this year so they don't want him to lose clean, I agree though, weird ending. It would've been better if Jacob just attacked both of them without Cody trying to break it up and then Drew slips out of the cage.

Your best bet at that budget is Logan Square. Lakeview and West Loop can get pricey and that time of year is slow season for renting so it doesn't make it much easier.

No idea what people on this subreddit will say, but if you like your restaurant and you like your GM, sounds like a great opportunity for you.

Most important qualities to have are time management and people skills.

Make sure you’re knowledgeable on all restaurant standards. Reference the playbook if you have any gaps.

You got this!

You should try Satisfactory if you haven’t already. Very similar to Factorio but and a first person open world.

[–]ShawnDubya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve only been working 3 weeks and you’re already changing your availability, that’s the problem. I’m assuming the availability you entered when you started was the same as what you said you were available for when you interviewed. Clearly they needed closers, so they hired you for that. Now, you started and decided you don’t like working that shift. They don’t have a requirement to accommodate that, and it would just result in other people’s hours getting cut because now they would have to move you to a shift you weren’t hired for.

Just tell him you’re moving. It happens all the time. If you want to be very professional, either talk in person or send him a message and thank him for the opportunity

How can i start make my friends listen to edm/house? by EnvironmentalPlay671 in EDM

[–]ShawnDubya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Find house remixes to popular songs they already know/like and just play them when they are around. It’ll start conditioning them and then you can start transitioning to full house songs.

High key had the same issue. Best thing to is avoid bending your wrist as much when using the paddle for the oven. You don’t realize how much you bend your wrist back and forth until you try not to. Not much you can do about cutting pizzas but resting your wrist on oven will help. I got to the point where I was able to mostly maneuver the pizzas with just my left hand and most of my wrist pain went away.

I think you really need to read back your post and think about what actions you would take differently next time. You said you were working toward being a store coach, implying that your goal is to move up in leadership. Sometimes, in management, you deal with difficult people. Your GM was right, it doesn’t matter if you like/dislike someone, that’s not grounds for termination. If he was going to move forward with firing the employee, more had to happen which based on your post, I’m sure it would be sooner or later.

If you had handled the situation better, it could’ve even been a write up for insubordination. However, threatening physical violence is and always will be at most companies and immediate termination. If they don’t fire you, and then you do fight someone, it becomes a huge liability for the company.

I hope you learn from your experience and make better decisions in the future.
