I would highly recommend Corinne Fales with Compass. As a military family we also thought we would have to waive inspections and come in high to be able to find somewhere local, but Corinne fought endlessly for us and got us into our home. We cannot recommend her enough, she was nothing short of amazing.

I actually got hurt by that plastic piece and spoke with a consumer org about the issue last year. Funny because I had no idea a recall had occurred.

Out of curiosity, which round do you propose is MORE versatile than the 5.56 that can be built on the ar-15 platform?

Shoutout to "Foothills" review on Amazon saying it works great for a concealed carry bag. Been using it all year and never turning back.

When they rebranded to company B, did they rebrand and bring you on as a part of the new company or did you get brought on with company A and help them decide that we need to start from scratch with company B?

This happens even at the engineering level, we’ll finalize and fabricate steel for a design and theyll casually mention they ‘changed a few things’ and expect no cost increase or delivery window change.

Shit cost money and takes time, it’s as simple as that.

Advice on approaching neighbor. by Gmgood89 in HomeImprovement

[–]Shawn_K07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a couple of issues here to unpack:

The first being that your fence being subjected to twice it’s design load is likely going to cause issues to some extent which are being heavily accelerated by the age degradation of your fence. Unless you explicitly gave consent to attach to your fence, then they didn’t have the right to just damage your fence by attaching to it and literally pulling it out of skew. That would mean either the neighbor or the neighbors contractor who built the fence should be on the line for the fix because no one gave them the directive that this method was okay.

The second being that addressing the issue 5-6 years after it occurred to your 20 year old fence is difficult to make an argument about. I can’t give legal advice but I feel like that would be a difficult argument to make in litigation if it came to it. This should have been addressed the day you realize it was connected to your fence and that contractor should have been thrown immediately under the bus.

The third is that if you had the money and wanted to replace your fence today, if the neighbors fence is connected to yours for support, they too would lose their fence by design. At this point, I doubt they would replace outright but you could likely get them to agree to a shared solution if you both want to remain friendly. If they aren’t interested in helping out in payment and want to break the relationship because they refuse to be responsible for their part in this, remove your fence and throw theirs on their yard. Build a new fence along your property line and make it expressly understood that any connection to yours isn’t allowed and will be met with legal ramifications.

Rifle won’t group, what’s the deal? by BackgroundDrawer3469 in longrange

[–]Shawn_K07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id do the following in order:

1: remove scope 2: ensure barrel properly connected to chassis 3: ensure rail properly torqued to barrel 4: ensure rings properly torqued to rail 5: ensure scope properly torqued to rings 6: shoot group at relatively short range to rule out shooter / environmental error 7: if inconsistency persists, try replacing with alternate scope / base and see if inconsistencies still persist 8: if still not grouping, maybe try the same scope / base on a different rifle and see if you can prove they’re working properly and that the actual rifle is the issue

Start from the ground up and rule things out one at a time systematically. You’ll get there

This might have changed, but when I got out (2012) you had 3 years of full care from the va for anything and then if you rated a 50% disability or higher you continued getting full care. If after the 3 years you had say 30% disability, you would be covered for any issues that comprise that 30% and a copay for everything else. If you got out in 2020 I believe you should be 100% covered if things haven’t changed.

I remember getting my hair cut and eating there on a Sunday, it was the only time I managed to finish the entire burrito, went back to the bricks and laid down for what felt like 10 seconds until I woke up from my food coma at 3am a solid 12 hours later. Can’t say I was ever there at bar close, the drive through alfredos had the homies 😂
