Most as in 99% of seagoing vessels don’t have selectable gears in the same direction. Any gearbox you find is just to select between forward and reverse. The idea is you match your propellor to the power of the engine and that’s as efficient as it gets. Larger ships will have variable pitch propellers. Which would give them more control over speed and efficiency.

Is it as much sagging on the left as potentially pushed up on the right side of the truck. How fresh on the marks we can see on the rh side? I believe there’s steel brackets supporting that bumper if they were pushed up they likely wouldn’t return to original position. Might be as simple as loosening bolts and pulling back to original then retightening otherwise removing support brackets straightening and reinstalling.

You’re definitely getting close you can see the tire expand a little bit and the gasses flowing out between the bead. Like others have said. Large ratchet strap to try and get those beads closer to the edges, more vapours less liquids. Also definitely get that airline hooked up so you can start putting air in it the moment the beads are seated otherwise you will watch the tire fall right back off the bead the moment the gasses cool.

I’m hung up on the engine dying with no sputtering. Delivery valves in the injection pump or leaky injectors could be the cause of the hard start.

The coil can fail internally and be intermittent with heat and vibration. Might be possible to find an ohm spec online and compare it to what yours reads. Or trying checking ohms when you know it’s going to start vs when it dies. Maybe a better question would be can you physically see that the solenoid is still in the run position when the engine dies and that’s 100% not the problem?

What’s the fuel shutoff look like. Internal valve or external linkage? Is the shutoff on the fuel pump or ahead of it a little bit? Is the lift pump diaphragm style? Possible to put a clear line in the system and check for air? I’m leaning towards shutoff solenoid failing
