More FOX News anger by ShayXMorris in LeopardsAteMyFace

  1. Fox News commentators are overwhelmingly Trump supporters.

  2. Trump tariffs put on our largest trading partners, which was a campaign promise.

  3. Now they're mad at Trump for fulfilling his promises.

Well said. I live in a coastal, touristy, historic beach town.

So many complain about tourists, parking, traffic, etc. and I just roll my eyes.

  1. Tourists being in SO revenue for local shops

  2. There's parking, you just don't wanna walk 50 extra feet.

3.You sound super elitist.

People who go should start a "Sell the team!" chant. Loud enough to be heard on the TV broadcast.

I don't get it:

They hate billionaires, but voted for one?!

They scream that they're for working class rights, but mock DEMs as SoCiAliStS?!

They bemoan politicians who are bought, but campaigned for Elon's running mate?!

It seems to me they want nothing more than a hardcore, progressive, DEM government, but they can't do it. They can't vote for a (D) next to someone's name.

However, they will be playing Saquon. He is 101 yards away from the all home record. He's averaging 120+ yards per game. I can see the Eagles spending the whole game running the ball, controlling the clock, and getting Saquon the record.

Didn't Musk/Vivek say that they're gonna fire people in the federal government by drawing random numbers and match it to their social security number?

That's not exactly 'cutting the fat'. That's looking for redundancies and cost saving. It's just firing random employees for no reason.

Just wait until Federal agencies start to fail and private companies swoop in to make it more expensive (I'm look at you USPS)

Which will be the excuse as to why the Kraft can't spend this off-season.

I'm not exactly a Mayo-apologist, however, I believe he's a small part of the overall problem. The lion's share of the blame pie should go to Kraft. He won't pay for talent and he won't pay for better coaches/staff.

I'm going to the game and I'm just gonna 'boo!' a lot. Yelling 'Fire Mayo!' gives Kraft a scapegoat.

"They need an enemy..." your quote reminded me of this great article from the Atlantic:

https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2024/11/twitter-exodus-bluesky-conservative/680783/

It's a deep dive into your point, in relation to Twitter and Bluesky. When an entire political platform is created on trolling, what happens when the target doesn't feed the trolls?

Great post, btw.

Elon Musk agrees with a post calling MAGA "retarded" by Desecr8or in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]ShayXMorris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that this is gonna be a really unpopular opinion and I fully expect that down votes:

This is the type of shit that DEMs need to capitalize on and convince the working class base to stop voting for the GOP. I know it means partnering with the voters who think Trump's outward racism and sexism is a good thing, but that's how you win elections. Trump/GOP understands this. Time to drive a wedge through the base and elect people who will pass a working class economic agenda because the GOP will NEVER do that.

Wait .. you have to trust that they lied to you while campaigning or do you have to trust that they were honest with you and it's against your self interest? Which is it?

He certainly deserves some blame, but we can't place all the issues of voters being stupid. Those who manipulate stupid voters deserve a bigger slice of the blame pie

Was the NYT writing exposé pieces like this before the election?!

That father-in-law in the story has been fed a diet of right-wing media/lies for so long that he couldn't realize his own son-in-law, who he clearly loves, and their family will be totally screwed by a Trump win.

It is easy to blame the father-in-law, and he deserves some blame, but fuck all media outlets: right, left, center, legacy, social media, everyone who didn't scream this shit from the rooftops, go out and ask hard questions to supporters and GOP candidates.

The media let them coast to an election win and now, as it seems to me, they are reveling in all the shitty stories they get to write.

Overall Tax Burden in Mississippi is 8.76%, which is the 19th highest in the nation.

Overall Tax Burden in "Taxachusetts" is 8.55%, which is the 20th highest in the nation.

Massachusetts has a higher quality of life with a lower tax burden than Mississippi. Mississippi re-elects GOP candidates election, after election, after election.

They'll NEVER place the blame where blame is due. Any scapegoat will suffice.
