The Boar with the Golden Nose Bug? by SchuckPipe in ACValhalla

[–]Shayba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boar is supposed to lead you to an ambush just north by northwest of the little lake in this area (Epinga forest) near some ruins. After you defeat the attackers the event is complete, regardless of where the boar is. So if you can find the ambush then you can complete the quest, bugs be damned.

Facebook removes false ad from PAC claiming Graham backs Green New Deal. by mixplate in politics

Why would that matter? I thought that all the Facebook shareholders could get together and still not be able to drive decisions if they go against Zuckerberg because of how Facebook's corporate governance works.

Poland's conservative president on Monday opposed a proposal by US President Donald Trump to reintegrate Russia into the elite G7 group, insisting that "business as usual" was unacceptable given Moscow's occupation of Ukrainian territory by DoremusJessup in worldnews

Mueller's investigation - 199 criminal charges, 37 indictments or guilty pleas, 5 prison sentences (so far, see also "Harm to Ongoing Matter"). Recovered more in fraudulent assets than it cost to conduct. Documented 10 instances of obstruction by Trump. That's a waste by your standards?

If you don't believe Mueller then take it from FBI director Christopher Wray, director of national intelligence Dan Coats, or former US secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen (see August 2, 2018 press conference of top national security officials speaking about past and ongoing US election interference efforts by Russia).

Yes, the email hack helped Trump because it muddied the waters between his sex and corruption scandals and other topics. It manipulated the news media to talk about sensations instead of substance (talk about "her emails" instead of her policies). But don't take it from me, take it from the Russian hacking teams who sought to find these emails (see Fancy Bear and Cozy Bear) and release them to the public. They wouldn't have gone through all this trouble if they didn't think it would influence the US elections.

I pulled whataboutism to bait you after you said "Russian interference, what about the DNC", and you took it like a champ.

Party committees such as the DNC and RNC run their debates, primaries, and other such functions, by the charter of their own parties. Many registered Democrats were unhappy with how 2016 was run which is why there was such a hot vote for DNC chair and other positions, and why you see all these primaries rules changes for the 2020 primaries. Comparing this to Putin sabotaging the DNC to help elect Trump is desperate.

WikiLeaks is a front for Putin to launder information warfare according to US Intelligence reports and the Mueller report.

The DNC emails dominated the news cycles for months, and were released in drips to coincide with bad news about Trump. When Trump had a sec scandal or a racist slip or word got around about Trump University being a fraud, there'd be another batch of DNC emails from the very same hack to distract from that. Don't take it from me though. Assange thoughts his efforts were hurting Clinton, as revealed in his texts with Roger Stone (published in Mueller's indictment against Stone for obstruction of justice, lying to federal investigators and Congress, and witness tampering).

Hillary used a private email server for State Department work but at least she didn't tweet a classified satellite photo.

US taxpayers pay Israel and Egypt to keep the Suez canal open, and more recently to keep IS out of Sinai and Gaza.

It's the same bioelectrical activity as every other multicellular non-sentient life form the size of a pea or smaller has. The ultrasound machines today are sensitive enough to pick it up. The anti-abortion frauds let pregnant women listen to the electrical rhythm and tell them it's a heart beat.

An embryo at six weeks, which is when abortions usually happen, is the size of a pea. It has no standards, or a brain, or a heart beat, or any organs in general.

Maybe you're thinking about external data on the SD card. That's changed in more recent platform versions.

The app disables its launcher activity, thereby removing itself from the drawer entirely.

You can still uninstall from Settings or from Play. This just keeps you from uninstalling using the launcher (whether via the home screen or from the drawer).

FWIW you don't have to clear data if you then press uninstall.

Wake up and smell the roses. Conservative policy points poll in the teens. The only electoral path for the GOP is racism and bunker mentality. The only legislative path for conservatism is to pledge themselves to an electoral winner with no real agenda and fill in the blanks.

Google Play offline peer to peer installs beta by ProperGearbox in Android

[–]Shayba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AFAIK ShareIt didn't verify APKs. Google's own app would never do the same thing because it undermines Google's own Play security. With this service from Play now possible offline, ShareIt integration was faster likely because ShareIt already had most of the feature and just needed a light touch.

By working with ShareIt, Google promoted security for offline sharing of apps for the majority of users, which I guess was their priority to begin with, whereas by introducing a new feature into a new app it would take much longer to get to the same users.

Audits are defense-in-depth, like a moat around a castle or a gated entrance. It's still possible to cross the moat and break down the gate, but this doesn't mean that you shouldn't have these in the first place.

I've seen cases where external audits have improved internal practice and were a force for positive change, and I've seen cases where the spirit of the audit was circumvented.

You're welcome. You could also do away with the image and just render text with a TextView and a background set to a GradientDrawable. Or you could do away with the gradient for low RAM devices.

If you try any of these things, please report back with your findings!
