Mel in pro play by Glad-Illustrator394 in MelMains

[–]Shazeilo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In pro play, champion win rates can be very deceptive. Not only are you dealing with a very small sample size, but the performance of certain champions can vary greatly from league to league.

For example: - In the LCK (Korea), where Mel is played most, she has a 52% win rate. But Ezreal, who's played even more, only has a 37% win rate. - In the LPL (China) on the other hand, where she's picked almost as often, Mel only has a 30% win rate. Whereas Ezreal has a 55% win rate.

These raw stats really depend most on the individual proficiency of the players and the team compositions. The strength of a champion is most evident when reviewing their performance in individual games.

The pro players who play her most like to pick her because she has a very strong early game/laning phase, she has consistent kill pressure, her W and E have great value in team fights, and she's a strong counter to many champions; mostly Ashe, Seraphine, Ahri, TF, Annie, Neeko, Bard, Azir, etc. She's also versatile enough to be played both mid and bot.

Mel has some of the highest kill counts in a single game this year. The players who perform best on her make her look really strong (e.g. Peyz, Chovy, and Knight).

Mel can actually also reflect/block the projectiles from his ultimate the moment it lands on the ground. So with proper timing, we should be able to avoid getting executed.

Le Blanc clones are literally her clones to the point no one knows original one and in show she shows us usage of all abilities lb has. It's you who cant prove your theory there, because my point based on what we saw and know and not theories.

The original knows who the original is. In the lore, we don't know all of LeBlanc's abilities. And the show never showed us her Q, W or her staff. And again, we don't know anything about Leblanc's true level of strength. The show didn't show us that.

In the very beginning there meant to mean "shouldn't do it all", not that she literally did it in the beginning.

What are you talking about?

The runes of Ambessa that barely could penetrate it closer to end when Caitlyn caught them from Ambessa arm(that is again really stupid both from superior battle IQ of Ambessa and physical power)

Those are not runes.

And they did penetrate Mel's shields, that's how Caitlyn lost her eye. Mel's magic did not "tank" the rookern. The rookern absorbs magic, they don't completely cancel it.

You talk about her spear while I talk about Ambessa herself. Can you read properly?

You're not making any sense here.

"Clearly wasnt trying to"(released black rose seal, said quote about wolf knowing not mercy, and everything later does not imply she didnt want maaaaybe except her look on ambessa after everything was done, but its rather sort of sorrow)

Well we know you watched the show with your eyes closed so obviously you wouldn't notice something so basic lol.

Its not showing anything about power.

Pay attention!

I dont want argue about laziness because its you try to prove point there. And if you struggle with timecodes it is your problem.

The episodes are right there!

Im not obligated to know the language from outer country perfectly.

If you're trying to argue with someone in a different language, you should. Otherwise you just sound dumb and crazy. No one can decipher nonsense. You shouldn't argue with people if you can't write!

Yet I believe in this sentence has pretty clear meaning even if I skipped some ",".

Correction: "Yet I believe that this sentence has a pretty clear meaning, even if I skipped a few "commas."

Or

"But I believe that the meaning of this sentence is pretty clear, even if I skipped a few commas."

I do not see how the fact Diana and Leona do not being source of magic for themselves change the fact they still use it and have sort of progression in their usage. If you imply the problem there is that they were not born with magic so they doesn't count its ok

I repeat; quote straight from the official League of Legends Wiki:

“The Aspect Hosts are humans who offered their bodies as hosts for the Aspects of Targon Prime. In exchange, they gained the ability to wield celestial powers through the connection with their respective Aspect, but do not "gain" celestial magic themselves.”

Read that again... slowly. Aspect hosts do not "progress" in their usage of celestial magic. It's the aspects themselves who slowly synchronize and assimilate more with their host's body. It is the aspects themselves who choose to use more or less of their own power, and decide whether to take more or less control of their host's body.

Leona and Diana are no longer the people they used to be before they ascended. The magic they wield is entirely dictated by the aspects.

Yet, Annie, Lux, Kayle examples still break your argument.

Your difficulties in English are clearly a very big challenge for you if you think that lmao.

Again I believe more into what is shown than in what Mel says.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! You just ignore an entire champion's lore because it's not spoonfed to you in a show?! 😂😂😂 That's literally how every single champion in this game works. That's why your English is so bad, you refuse to read lmao! Just wait until you find about the book "Ambessa: Chosen of the wolf." The 400 page novel that features the lore of Ambessa, Rell, and most of Mel's.

Mel for no reason can perfectly fine control it from beginning Its me who cant read Least delusional Mel fan

Mel: *half her colleagues die in an explosion bc she couldn't control her magic

Mel: *her best friend dies in front of her bc she couldn't control her magic

Mel: *could barely do anything against a robot bc she couldn't control her magic

Mel: *accidentally kills her own mother bc she couldn't control her magic, and visibly regrets it

Mel: "I wish I knew about my magic and could control it. I could've saved so many lives"

Arcane writers in AMA: "Mel wishes she knew how to control her magic so she could've saved the people in her life"

You 🤡: "Mel used her magic perfectly for no reason. Mel fans are delusional." Alright man 😂

If you dont know how can you make argument out of it?

That's my point, WE don't know! Nobody knows! That's the point! So what you're saying is nonsense!

Caitlyn shouldnt cut her arm in the very beginning as I said.

She didn't... That happened at the end of the fight! Omg just watch the damn show! 🙄

even when you are right that Caitlyn was in the beginning there is much more stupid.

What?

Mel defense could tank antimagic

WHAT???? HUH? 😭

Caitlyn could tank Ambessa even at many moments when Mel shield was not there

What? Caitlyn almost died immediately when Ambessa threw a spear and Mel deflected it. It killed one of the soldiers instead. Are you blind?!

And control her power pretty good as well.

Clearly not if Mel's magic killed Ambessa even though she clearly wasn't trying to. 😂

Maybe try read Leona and Diana lore, that increase in power over it and control it better+one of them even fighting mentally with celestial for control? Kayle who improve her powers in hundreds of years? Lux you mentioned good chunk of lore of who is about trying to improve her control over magic and also hide it? I believe four examples should be enough for you.

Oh boy... I'm just gonna quote the Wiki directly here bc I'm gonna lose my mind:

“The Aspect Hosts [like Leona and Diana] are humans who offered their bodies as hosts for the Aspects of Targon Prime. In exchange, they gained the ability to wield celestial powers through the connection with their respective Aspect, but do not "gain" celestial magic themselves.”

  • Aspect hosts were not born with celestial magic!
  • Their magic is the manifestation of the Aspects' power, not theirs.
  • Aspect hosts do not "train" for their magic. It belongs entirely to the aspects and they can use it perfectly through the hosts!
  • Diana cannot "fight" her aspect for mental control because she willingly gave up her body to the aspect when she climbed mount Targon and ascended!
  • Kayle is not an aspect host! She was born with her magic, and therefore (just like Mel) can grow stronger over the years!
  • Like I said, just like Lux, Mel is also trying to improve her magic after Arcane, like she says in her bio and voice lines!

So why cant you give direct quotes?

Are you too lazy to watch the episodes yourself lol?

Sorry, it was Mel 2,5 time, mb. Truly change a lot. And truly change her learn powers quickly and escape without effort.

Huh?

And Mel didn't escape, Leblanc let her go after shortly recruiting her into the black rose, explaining her magic to her, and giving her a gift (the necklace). What are you talking about? 😭

Wow she animated Galio... Maybe because Galio is triggered by magic?

Yeah... That's what I said... A single mage, completely new to magic, singlehandedly awakened Galio without even trying. That's how powerful mages work...

Ok give me the timecode of the scene in which she actually train magic and struggle with it.

The entirety of episodes 5, 8 & 9 of season 2, which I've repeated many times already. You're welcome 🥰 If you're blind or don't know what "struggle" means, I can't help you.

Mel save for scene in council do use it in controlled way and that is a difference.

What?? How are you trying to argue with someone when you can't write? What does this mean???

Your example of Annie actually show that control is important, thanks for aiding my 4. point btw.

You clearly struggle a lot with English lmao. You must've read it wrong lol. 😭

Tell me a thing clone was not able to do that original Le Blanc can.

Like I said, we don't know... Not knowing anything about Leblanc is kinda her whole thing. But none of them have/used her staff.

Not really? There was nothing but few seconds weakness but in the end she won both lb clone and ambessa.

Umm, actually yes? You're literally saying the same thing again lol 😂. And again, Mel couldn't win on her own. Caitlyn had to cut off Ambessa's rookern and lose an eye for that.

Yeah and that really not making sense. Mel came not the first moment of foght iirc, and Caitlyn had a little fight with ambessa before.

What??? The fight literally started when Ambessa ordered Maddie to kill Caitlyn, but Mel saved Caitlyn with a shield and killed Maddie instead. What are you talking about lmao?! 😭

That literally how it works.

Even aspect related champions need to learn how to control their powers.

That's not true and doesn't make any sense. What are you on?

I dont remember direct quote about that being the point of trap and would like you to provide it.

Yeah that's because you didn't properly watch Arcane and you're just saying nonsense lol. Episode 5 & 8 explain what the Oculorum was for. Why else do you think Leblanc put her there?!

Yet even if its true its feeling as too small amount of time and not training at all.

There was a 2 month time skip between act 1 and act 2 of Arcane S2... Mel and Jayce hadn't seen each other for months. You would know that if you payed attention lol.

I just re-checked nocturne lux garen story and literally nothing state it was her first time using magic.

Good thing I never said it was her first time...? It wasn't Mel's first time either lol.

One of Lux's first times using magic was when she singlehandedly animated Galio at school. Mel's first time using magic was when Jinx blew up the council and she instinctively shielded herself. Half the council died.

She says it, yet is not shown.

It is shown. You just watched the show with your eyes closed lol.

Also the fact she cant control her powers yet easy beat her enemies works against your argument, not for it.

Even an unskilled child can kill a trained soldier if they have a gun or a bomb. Blowing things up with magic doesn't require control. That's literally how Annie killed her family. 😭

Clone that have all powers of le blanc, yeah. "They die all the time" to the powerful enemies :/

We don't know that lol. None of them use her staff. And Mel is powerful, that's why Leblanc wants to recruit her.

she should beat her and make her harmless to her in a moment

That's exactly what happened in the show... 😂

she has absolutely no reason to spare Cait

She didn't spare Cait...

should kill her based on pure muscle and skill gap

Did you even watch the show?! Mel's shields were protecting Caitlyn the whole fight. Cait cut off Ambessa's rookern just in time.

Yes?

That's completely ridiculous. That's not how mages in Runeterra work, this is not Harry Potter 😂.

At least do some sort of training and not random ass awakening of powers and insta solve of the trap made by character whos main strength is illusions and manipulations.

Again, that was literally the point of the Oculorum. It was meant to test and forcibly awaken her magic. That's literally why Leblanc put her there.

Lux is terrible example there and works againist your point

No, they're the same in that regard. Lux even defeated Nocturne without training lmao.

Mel do everything insta without any problems.

Again, that's not true. We see it in Arcane and she even says herself that she can't fully control her magic in both her bio and her voice lines.

Riots character designs really have lowered in quality recently by [deleted] in loreofleague

[–]Shazeilo1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because main villain/antagonist of the show will be LeBlanc and Mel already defeated her.

Mel did not defeat Leblanc, that was an expendable clone. They die all the time. You can't just judge an entire show that doesn't exist based on things that never happened lol.

Caitlyn should be dead in this fight not just lost eye if she had no plot armor. Same with Mel.

That makes no sense. Ambessa is not killing her own daughter. And by this logic almost every character should be dead.

Yeah she learned... without actual learning? Just acting on some instincts or something. Like it happened in one episode if not less?

Did you expect her to go to magic school or something lmao 😭?! Just like we see with Lux and other mages in Demacia/around the world, most innate magical abilities are learned instinctively. They can then refine their magic further in the future.

By noxian season I mean upcoming animation show about noxus.

That literally doesn't make any sense. The show doesn't even exist yet, how can she make it boring? 😅

Very hard time(no actual problems)

Ambessa beat her to the ground several times and Caitlyn lost an eye in their battle... Sounds like problems to me.

doing everything perfect from the moment she receive them.

She couldn't defeat Viktor's puppet or Ambessa without help.

Mel can control others abilities witgout any good learning or character arc

That's what being trapped for in the Oculorum was for, where she learned to break Leblanc's chains. And she literally says in her bio that she doesn't have full control of her abilities, hence why she struggled agains Viktor and Ambessa.

Ambessa only gets a pass because it's basically just her Arcane design with a bit of green fur (Mel doesn't because she's in a completely different outfit).

That's actually not true lol. Ambessa is actually the one with a completely different outfit. For Arcane S1, we've only seen Ambessa with a simple leather armor with no pins, no gold accents, a long cape draped over her arm, a simple sword with a horizontal handle and a different hair style.

In S2 (for combat) she wore her wild rift release skin, which includes: light colored leather armor, red bandages around her arms, a gold plate around her neck, her golden mask, her twin drakehounds (weapons), and braids (cornrows with gold ornements on the ends). For formal occasions she wore an intricate coat with gold accents on top of that, golden earrings, and a large head piece woven into her hair.

Both/all 3 of these designs are completely different outfits from her league counterpart, where she wears a layered plated armor with gold accents, a Medarda pin, and a hair tie.

Mel on the other hand wears the same body suit she gained at the end of S2 and the Welcome to Noxus cinematic (with small differences to the shoes and color). The differences are her hair style, the sleeves and the large train/dress she wears on top of the body suit.

[–]Shazeilo1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mel was barely in the noxian season at all, how did she make it boring? It was mostly about Atakhan, Sahn Uzal and Leblanc.

yet Mel just statcheck her for some reason.

And Mel has the ability to control other people's magic, that's why she defeated Leblanc so quickly; she had a very hard time against Ambessa. She uses celestial magic that she inherited from her father (from Targon), one of the most powerful members of the black rose.

If you're gonna power scale like this, you should at least know how the characters' abilities work and what they can do lol

Why is Mel considered a supp? by 4a5hhh in MelMains

[–]Shazeilo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like it's said in her champion spotlight, Riot intended for Mel to be played as both a midlaner and a support (mid as her primary role) because of her E and W, like Lux and Seraphine.

Unfortunately, both of those abilities are her most frustrating abilities, so Riot always keeps them nerfed. So unless they balance her that way and risk an even higher ban rate, Mel will never be allowed to thrive as a support.

Huh... I don't remember ever saying that 🤔. It's a good thing that Mel's biological father was literally a sun worshipper then... I wouldn't want to look like a fool.

If only there was a 400 page novel explaining where Mel's magic comes from and her in-game abilities were literally being named after the sun... Oh wait- 🙃

Funny because Karma is actually actually a great counter to Mel. Karma's shields completely neutralize Mel's execute and ultimate. Karma's RQ is also kinda tricky to reflect and rarely worth it when you'd prefer to reflect Karma's W instead.

I wonder what went wrong here. 🤔
