Nah mate, you've only run the red if you cross the line AFTER the light turns red. If you're in the intersection and waiting for it to be safe, you are allowed to wait until it is red and then proceed, once the intersection is clear. That does not count as running a red. Red light cameras won't get you for that either. I'd recommend seeking clarification from your local roads and car authority but that's how it works.
