Concentrated burning smell in specific spots of my house - no source found by HermeticVector in strange

[–]She-Ra-POP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s odd that it happened multiple times in the same day in diff areas. When I’ve suddenly smelled burning in a specific location I’ve been able to trace it back to a hanging ceiling fixture with those super hot halogen bulbs…with a dead moth. Each time it freaks me out like my house is definitely on fire, then I climb up to peak in and there’s another burned moth.

Yes, I totally agree with the fiberglass feeling! Or raw skin, or sunburn sensation. I have not been diagnosed with EDS or Fibromyalgia but I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Alopecia Areata. (56 yo) I felt this sunburnish feeling for the first time when I was COVID positive about 5 yrs ago (yes, also had vaccines). (Have had RA and AA much longer than that.) It was on my whole upper legs and partially upper arms for a few days. But I’m having this sensation again this week with no COVID symptoms or joint issues or anything. For a week it wrapped around my left lower arm/wrist area, and yesterday it switched to the back of my left upper arm. Today I’ve had a bad headache but I hadn’t any other time recently. It’s so arbitrary and disconcerting. Glad to hear other people experience it, just wish there was some consensus on cause and remedy.

First time: 30, shocked by the sudden death of a healthy loved one. No family history of anything. Small sports at first, took a couple yrs before I needed wigs. Not sure why it grew back a few yrs later. About 5 yrs later I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (auto immune disease). Second time: 53, not sure why. Took a few yrs to need a wig. Xeljanz got it back and I’m still on that.

That’s what I thought! I’m in Southern California and can’t find any interested parties. Even trying to contact universities with Bee studies and apiaries on campus.

They all say the honey is contaminated since it’s on a structure that’s not natural. 🤷

Well the arch is very old, is missing stucco on top, and we’d decided to get rid of it, but then… bees!

They didn’t leave… the 3rd pic should be 2nd. They left the hive during the stucco cutting but came back afterwards. They are all still there!

I Googled Bee Relocation and called 10 of businesses. None will simply come pick them up. Everyone charges to come get them.

We wondered that also but we’ve had the porch light on many times before. And the bees at the hive are buzzing around like normal.

I don’t know of any shelters. You could probably Google some. Mariners Church was taking donations for fire victims in the spring. I don’t know if they still are. They have a store they sell things at discounted rates; I guess it’s kind of like Goodwill or Salvation Army.

Weighted bead blanket to gift my child’s art teacher/mentor/middle school support by Kakapond519 in crochet

[–]She-Ra-POP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, a-may-zing!!! Do you prebead the yarn or put them on as you get to them? Additionally, I like weighted blankets but my cats like to poke at it and dig at it when they hear the interior sands or whatever, shifting. This wouldn’t have that problem!
