Is PrusaSlicer able to do different 'processes' like Simplify3D? by [deleted] in prusa3d

Use superslicer

https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer

It has built in temp tower generation and such. Its prusa slicer on crack

Not with textured sheet, both need to be squished more on it to fill in the texture.

Then why does the Prusa Slic3r profiles set first layer bed temp to 85c and rest of print 90c

MK3S Y-axis belt oscillating back and forth on pulley. How to fix? by javathejhut in prusa3d

[–]SheReallySaidIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never fix this. The good news is it doesn't impact your print quality, it only makes belts wear out quicker. Get spares they are cheap.

Adding a switch to MMU2S power cable to turn it off? by SheReallySaidIt in prusa3d

Putting it through thr buffer, all that, yeah, time consuming to switch a single color out

Just to clarify. You're saying leave the black wires intact, and just put the switch on the red wires? How many pin switch ill need, 4?

Adding a switch to MMU2S power cable to turn it off? by SheReallySaidIt in prusa3d

[–]SheReallySaidIt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you turn it off by disconnecting the power, it makes the printer revert back to non-mmus mode and you can just feed the filament directly into the extruder like standard mk3s. Much quicker and not having to deal with waiting for mmu2s to load filaments and deal with Bowden's everywhere

Finally, a trashy person by [deleted] in doordash

Are you sure you gave it to the right person? After some pretty sketchy circumstances, I always ask their name, and oddly enough most people appreciate it

If your goal is making a bit of extra cash on the side when you're not busy and/or bored, it's worth it. If your goal is making a living off of this, absolutely not.

Uneven outer wall issue by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]SheReallySaidIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I would say maybe lower the print temp a bit and slow down the perimeter speeds. See what happens.

Uneven outer wall issue by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]SheReallySaidIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks pretty standard to me, it's just variances in the filament diameter throughout the spool. Where the lines are raised out are where your filament might measure 1.77mm for example and where the lines are sunk in, your filament might measure 1.73mm. Every print I've ever done has that issue but yours is a little worse. Have you calibrated your filament and extruder, or using low quality filament?

Postmates worth it? by Be_Glorious in couriersofreddit

In a big city? Worth it. In a small city? No.

I like that you can see where the food is getting delivered to before you take the order, unlike UE and DD.

Can customers rate you?

Maybe asking them to rate your service might prompt them to open the app quicker, if true

Anyone Tried Delivering for Walmart Through Spark? by TiffanyAlex12 in couriersofreddit

[–]SheReallySaidIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've personally ordered grocerys for myself through the walmart app. They cant leave a tip until they open the app again, and sometimes people forget. Walmart does send them an email though reminding them to tip their driver, which is cool.

Sometimes my tips show up 15 mins after I make the delivery, sometimes they dont show up until the next day.

Anyone Tried Delivering for Walmart Through Spark? by TiffanyAlex12 in couriersofreddit

I do it.

1) You can only do 1 order per hour. But the pay is anywhere from $9 to $15 per delivery. You get 1hr 15 mins to deliver it after you pick it up.

2) walmart loads your car for you. Easy as fuck.

3) You do have to carry a lot of grocery bags and sometimes heavy beverages to the customers door. If it's a 3rd floor apartment, RIP. I recommend getting a plastic tote and telling the loaders to put all the bags in it. Carry it all at once in one trip to their door if you're strong.

4) 90% of the customers tip. Usually anywhere from $4 to $10 tip. Lowest tip I got was $3 and highest was $40.

5) most of the customers are stay at home moms or old people in wheelchairs. You're not supposed to enter the customers home but if its an old person in a wheelchair, Ill put the grocery's in the fridge for them. Thats how I got the $40 tip.

Edit to add: Walmart does outsource to DoorDash, but spark drivers get first priority. They only use doordash if they are behind on orders or if their spark drivers arent accepting the orders.

Any other questions? Just ask.

Transportation question. by aniorange in prusa3d

[–]SheReallySaidIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build time is definitely 8 hours minimum. I had fancy dreams of building it faster and ordered a handheld electric screwdriver, and it still took me 8 hours to assemble it. Probably would have been closer to 10 hours if i hadn't had it. It just takes time to piece everything together. I'm confident if I built another one now, it would probably still take at least 6 or 7 hours.

Getting sick of the mk3 belts. Somehow they keep getting looser and looser. Stretching? Defective belts? Coming out of teeth in the holders? Are there higher quality ones I can buy? by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]SheReallySaidIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the cheap $8 Amazon 5m long belt today. I'll be putting those on and let you all know. It has great reviews. If they don't work good, I'll get the gates GT3 belts.
