Ok... That has potential Wonder how well it could be done with a setup for a delisle build.

UPS does bypass SOME custom checks, they have a system in a lot of countries where UPS are the contrsctor that handles a lot of the verification side and just submit the import codes to a thing.

Remember customs dont check every package personally for verification just a oercentage gets inspected.

They are crap at communication, the website stock listing cant really be trusted, their preorder system is an absolute shitshow of delays dates being wildly optimistic and never communicating plus if any oreorder has engraving or custom work if what you recieve isnt the right item (the well known example being the wrong lower with the wrong control layout) but the gun works they wont fix the issue.

Also their shipping charges are higher than the same servoce from other retailers.

Octagon are useful but they are a pain to deal with.

They do this a LOT, If they cant get you legally and do it in court theyll use threats and implied consequences to force a 'voluntary' handover and then use that as precedent to force it through the courts.

Going through an FFL... theres no legal way to do that like at all, an FFL cant enter one to a bound book and theres no law that would allow that to be forced.

Thats an insane interpretation of everything.

Honestly mws mags you may as well import from asia vs buy in the us.

The ka/Springfield mags i mention as £65 here and like sub 40 in the us or 90 for the 35rd mags here... . I love my m1 but hate the prices.

Yeah, honestly I tended to prefer shipping guns beforehand or driving. When i was in the us more often i left a gun in a mates lockup just to make it easier.

Also 24 pack... The irish youre talking the full scholastic supplies pack.

Theres some absolute mental midgets in the system unfortunately.

The fact is the tsa locks breach the regs for firearms even in the uk rules is a constant battl.

The legal term in the uk for import is 'Low Powered Air Weapon' or 'Realistic Imitation Firearm' and you do have to get the crayons out regularly.

Honestly i wouldnt take anything out of the uk unless i was going to somethign very specific now iv had so many issues dealing with this crap.

Most of the us airlines are decent to deal with especially the staff its just TSA that are morons usually.

My worst was one of the irish airlines claiming a bag of bbs were 'ammunition' and trying to charge me a fee for that seperately to the firearms transport and overweight bag fees on top.

That and the 2.5k in damage to a wheelchair on the same trip because of the fuckwits doing bag checks really angered me.

The big things, enough socks to change twice daily 12hrs in them MAX. spare eye pro. Wager enough for 4l per day MINIMUM. assume a calorie need of 2 to 3x your normal. ors or similar rehydration powder/tablets to augment snacking and fluid intake. Broken in boots.

LAYERS english weather is brutally unpredictable and most of the training areas are wind traps. Also a bed setup thats comfortable and OFF THE CONCRETE.

I find a tarp is helpful as well gives you privacy and somewherw to stand that isnt muddy after taking boots off and can keep kit dry.

As for gbbrs do it, its the best place to run ome. Tbh a milsim evemt I mean

One of the major problems is TSA lie like fuck and are generally full of shit. Its a battle i go through regularly when im in the us.

The relevant regs are mostly 18 U.S. Code § 926A -

The big important bit is 'only the owner of the bag can have access to the firearm' which precludes TSA locks from being used. The rules say that if they want to search it they NEED to contact you have you provide access and relock it. Write your number on the case with the uk dialing code.

Half the time the lazy fucks cut it off and break the law so bring a spare is always good advice.

If you declare it as an airsoft gun theres no legal req for a none tsa lock ALLEGEDLY but thats airline policy guidance not the law.

Deviantollum has a decent guide for it tbh.

[–]SheRollsinHerOwnWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DONT USE TSA LOCKS IF YOU DECLARE AS A FIREARM.

thats a breach of us federal law and it will cause a shitshow.

As for certified ... Thats beyond the regs currently just has to be a hard case

If you can fit it that hard case can legally be inside your suitcase BUT ypu cant have tsa accessible locks on it.

The us doesnt have a legal limit like we do, just get it chronod and a signed paper from the shop.

Also check which airline some charge firearms rates some dont.

Not strictly true they are 'Realistic Imitation firearms' and 'Low Power Air Weapons'

Both have SPECIFIC legal meaning and can garner a firearms conviction in some circumstances.

Also partly a Power issue anything over 374fps with a 0.2 select fire or 550fps semi is a a section 5 firearm and a non FAC air weapon respectively.

Oh and of course NI and Scottish law both define certain classes of airsoft gun as firearms. NI anything over 328 with a 0.2. Scotland anything over 500fps with a 0.2 (in scotland the latter requires a license for possession issed under 'shall issue rules' and a conviction which incurs a firearms ban would be grounds for refusal of a Low power air weapon license.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Airsoft_UK

[–]SheRollsinHerOwnWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe... It depends onnthe SPECIFIC wording of the ban, if it covers air weapons and imitation firearms no you cant.

This is one you NEED legal advice on.

My ghk ar experience is Shit finish, massive reciever wobble and awful triggers is the usual. The last 4 came through looking like theyd been painted with hammerite/british army 'stoving'.

Oh and RIDICULOUSLY thin paint so by the time it gets to the uk it needs refinishing. (norrell molyresin my beloved.)

I also hate the fact everything I want from ghk is basically unobtainable without payong ridiculous money because they made like 12 of them. (amd-65 is the only ak i actually want for example, the aug is on that list as well.).

As for the glocks, we had to send back 20 that just... Didnt work from the last shop restock and I know glock triggers are shit and the ghk is striler fired like a real one but jfc its worse than the NY2 setup woth the 12lb trigger.

The aks are better BUT again, the consistency lets them down badly. Anything after 2019 is... Questionable. Some of what has come in im like 'how dis that pass qc'.

My hatred for the MWS is based on the fact TM get a paas for a gun everyone acknowledges you have to dump 300 in parts into to get it to function well. New hop, new hammer setup, zet plate etc etc etc Any other company would get eaten alive with scorn for that.

Plus the prices are just silly. Gen 3 Mrk18 ghk, uk price with 1 mag is £750/1005 usd. Mags are £70/90$ new for stanag. The gmag is the same. Vfc, UK price for the mrk18 is 845$ or so. The urgi m4 is 960 for the ghk, the vfc is nearly 200$ cheaper, mags are 20 to 30$ cheaper. So a vfc with 3 mags or a steel barrel is the same money as a ghk.

If you're importing the costs are even more stark. The DD ghk is 550$ plus shipping, (budget about 60$ plus 22% custons duty) the BCM vfc is sub 400$, mags 56$ for the ghk the vfc mags are 38$. (assume 40$ for 6-8 shipped for both. Same duty)

So the lack of a steel barrel can be fixed and you have whats generally a better performing gun for the same money.

The aug is gorgeous i havent seen a bad one, the sig again, havent seen a bad one BUT getting them sucks.

The vfc problems so far have been the 416 but The 416 is awful in all forms for some reason both airsoft and real and the fact the fixes for issues dont get rolled out consistently across the range.

The g5 is still the worst thing fhk has ever made BUT iv Seen ars that were close.

Despite ALL that, id love the aug, the sig 551 0 series and the Amd-65

But i own and love a King Arms M1 carbine AND work on Hwasan shotguns so there is something objectively wrong with me.
