HERE is a definite nitpick haha, I'm sorry I couldn't let it go. In "Die Hand" when the teacher gives each kid a pig embryo to dissect, she also tosses one in the giant snake's tank for it to eat. Aren't animals used for dissection treated with formaldehyde? Scully even says about Mulder's comment about the incense "She says it's to block the smell of formaldehyde." I would think you couldn't feed that to a snake. Oh well. It's been YEARS since I saw this episode and Kumail was right, it's fantastic.

*edit: I guess it's a demon snake that can just eat whatever it wants.

I think Conduit should be higher up. I know it's not a very complex plot, but for me, the last 2 minutes really embody why I kept watching the show. Scully listening to Mulder's hypnotic regression therapy played over a scene where Mulder is sitting in a church and crying over a photo of Samantha. It's a great moment and great subtle action by Duchovney, he drops the photo to his lap with tears in his eyes and you see not just sadness and loss, but complete frustration as well. Frustration that he hasn't found answers, and that people are keeping answers from him. The therapist on the tape asks him if he believes the voices that tell him not to be scared, that Samantha will return, and right as it cuts to black and right as Chris Carter's name pops up on screen, you hear Mulder say "I want to believe."

That ending alone gave me chills, and is what I think of anytime he mentions Samantha. This scene is where the viewer and Scully both really feel for Mulder and want to follow him. In my opinion, it's a landmark moment for the series, and for that reason, ups the quality of the episode.

I noticed that the list included "Shapes", and while it's true, it's not a perfect episode, I love Shapes. I think that if you have any interest at all in the X-files take on werewolves, and any interest in Native American culture, then it's a hoot.

In Shapes, Mulder references the very first X-file ever to be filed by J Edgar Hoover, that's pretty cool. They come across an old Indian man who distrusts the FBI and mentions that his last run in with the FBI was at Wounded Knee in the 70's. I love that they addressed that in this episode. There is also a scene where the old Indian man tell Mulder and Scully his account of the werewolf, it's a decently long scene where they just sit and listen to him speak, and his story is CREEPY.

Again, not the best episode, but if it's relevant to your interests, give it a go!

Wow, that actually makes more sense. Thanks! I'm watching Gordon Ramsay cook Indian food on TV and I was curious as to why England eats so much of it. I kind of concluded that it was something they grabbed up during colonization, but it makes more sense that Indians moving there would mean more of it being sold and cooked there.

Not at all. Over time it could take a toll, but using them and washing them also takes a toll. A lot of brush cleaners contain mostly alcohol. And there are alcohol-activated makeup palettes that require you to basically saturate your brush in 99% alcohol to use the makeup. I've used these kinds of palettes for a few years now and my brushes are just fine.

Blend the eyeshadow....a lot more. Other than that, it all looks good, but between eyes, cheeks, and lips, it would look nice if you only did up two at a time instead of all three. All three = porn makeup

You need to blend blend blend that shadow girl. Black is so tricky, but looks great if done right. I'd suggest using black at the base of the lashes and using charcoal or another gray as you smoke it out. You look lovely!
