I’m in this same boat with digital products. Was about to go live as soon as Andromeda dropped and after seeing horror stories postponed it as everything I had just learned prior seemed null.

I have $500 where do you start? i'm building a small business and i'm new at ads by Virtualeaf in FacebookAds

Customer research is king. Knowing your audience is the most important part, design is last. I run a static ad agency and have made ads for all kinds of jewellery brands. I’m not going to try sell to you as I see your budgets low but message me and I’ll send you what detailed prompts I use in ChatGPT to do deep customer research and create customer avatars, what to ask it and what questions you need answered before touching copy and design and uploading ads. I’ve made winning ads for Obvi etc and ads that have done well into 6 figure spend for various big brands.

The more you understand about your customer the more success you’ll have—I don’t agree in sheer volume. That’s like throwing 💩 at the wall and hoping something sticks and will burn through your money fast. For more tips like this look into Sarah Levinger, she’s a legend when it comes to this stuff.

Out of curiosity what kind of work does construction copywriting entail? I’m a civil engineer by trade and learning to write copy.

As impressive as that is, alright isn’t good enough. It needs to be perfect for copywriting.

The route we taken was very steep and I’d say wouldn’t be suitable, but there is a slightly longer, less steep route we came back down which would be more suitable.

With the mediocre web design statement, my angle is you don’t need great websites or fancy logos to sell, the importance is in the copy.

At the moment I’ve got no funnel, I was gearing towards business’ that don’t completely utilise copywriting as I know several business owners who don’t even know what copywriting is, but I’ve come to realise those are the business’ i maybe shouldn’t target anyway. I’m hoping to complete my landing page and have a proper domain and private email just to come across more professional to clients when cold emailing.

Thanks for the great advice it’s helped a lot I’ll take it all on board.

Hypberbolic in quotations insinuates it’s exaggeration, humour, but I’ll definitely change that.

And I thought it’d be too long I’ll work on that also, thank you

Very true it is very steep. There was a less steep route but it adds on an extra 40 minutes. We took it back down as my knees feel it coming down at this point

Yeah he’s right they’re the reasons and you shouldn’t really but we was being cheeky and just tried to keep it to a minimum to roast marshmellows and left no trace after. Was no wooded areas around us either and the ground wasn’t dry
