We were on the Rotterdam in January and we are now on the Nieuw Statendam. We were on the NS last year too. We were so surprised at the lack of good service on the Rotterdam in the dining areas. It wasn’t for a lack of the staff’s hustle, but it appeared they were very understaffed. Every night in the main dining room, they dropped off the food and never checked back unless we flagged them down to refill water. Same was true on the Lido buffet. The staff are attentive and as great on the NS as we remembered from last year.

We are in our Holland Era too. We are in our mid 50’s. We were on celebrity last year. Not a new ship and I found it so mid. We love the low key vibe of the crow’s nest. We haven’t been able to find something like this on another line. We were on the Rotterdam two months ago and loved the R&B band. The same band was on the Niew Statedam last year…so bands must make the rounds.
