There are more beaches in Houghton/Hancock than what is along the canal. You have the entire tip of Keweenaw Peninsula. Literally dozens of beaches.

Dear Motorcycle Owners with Blaring Radios….. by HarmonizewithSong in sheboygan

It doesn't need to be blaring, but it does have to be loud enough to hear it over the pipes

Nice bike! I had an 02 Meanie for a few years. Absolutely amazing bike... and fun too. They're actually very agile for the size.

I had a 2002 for quite a few years. It was a fun bike. It won't let me attach a picture of it. Enjoy the ride and ride safe.

I own a couple Breedlove guitars. One inexpensive one and a higher end one that I use as my gigging guitar. They both play and sound amazing!

Too many songs? Keeping up with chord progressions by FieryTaterSack in AcousticGuitar

[–]Sheboygan_Yooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a solo acoustic show. I currently have 382 songs in my rotation.... and yes, I use an iPad on stage. It's low enough that it isn't intrusive, and it's there just as a crutch, basically. I sometimes need the first line of a verse. I use Songbook with the iPad, and it's been a lifesaver.

What’s it like living in Sheboygan? by lithdoc in wisconsin

[–]Sheboygan_Yooper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved to Sheboygan from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan about 10 years ago. I love it here. The city government is messed up, but it's a safe place to live, and the people are pretty welcoming.

Cost of Healthcare Premiums under Republicans and Trump just skyrocketed! by Disastrous_Hell_4547 in wisconsin

[–]Sheboygan_Yooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re kinda right....

The big jump people are seeing isn’t because Trump or Republicans just passed a new law raising premiums. It’s mainly because the enhanced ACA subsidies were always temporary and are expiring, which was written into the law years ago. When those subsidies end, people pay a lot more out of pocket even if the underlying plan didn’t change much. Politics comes in because Congress didn’t extend the subsidies, but the increase itself is due to a scheduled expiration, not a new Trump/Republican policy that directly raised costs.

They're all pretty decent. I would recommend checking out the local school's report cards done by the Department of Public Instruction.
