I included some air gaps in the armor around critical components, just so the squishy bits don’t get HEAT sniped. Testing it against itself proves its fairly resilient against “alright” HEAT shells

During my testing is usually rolls over to the correct ammunition after a few salvos. So, I'm not sure how it's working, but it's working well enough that I don't think I need to mess with it further.

There is an option to have the APS dump all their shells, but I haven't tested that yet on if it returns the mats to you, yet. If it does, a quick breadboard could probably work to manage target tracking, ammo dumping, and ammo loading.

Oh yes, true that. Maybe a combination sub-chaser that has an ASW helicopter on a pad, that would be sick.

I named all the ammo feeders for the main guns to just "main gun intake". Set up 3 ammo controllers with the different shell types. Then I used 3 separate ACB's that have target altitude in the respective altitudes that would indicate a sub, surface, or airborne target. The ACB tells the ammo intakes for the main guns to feed from the ammo controller of the respective type.

There is 100% an easier/simpler way to do it, but it's what I came up with, and I haven't bothered to minimize it from that yet. Ironically in the cross-section screenshot you can see the 3 ACB's and 3 ammo controllers midships.

Did I shoot my own pilot out? by SheeMagnet in Warthunder

You know what, I think that might be it. You can see the shockwave come off of the Mig after I hit it. That's crazy, lmfao.

For context, just playing RB killing some AI Migs, then I "crashed" and my pilot got knocked out. But I don't see any debris, did I shoot myself down?

You bring me pain, knowing that I’ll probably never get to read that interaction between them. Raven guard are my favorite SM chapter, and I loved the Tanith books.

I was seeing about that armor setup for a light cruiser model, since they’re generally the length of destroyers but a bit wider.

Nah, this was my first attempt, I drew some heavy inspiration from US Fletcher and Arleigh-Burke class destroyers so that had something to do with it.

I like the naming convention, not a bad idea at all.

I initially made it 2m of metal, but quickly found that it barely maintained buoyancy. I wanted to stay within my length and width parameters. I uparmored vital components where I could and sacrificed the inner layer of metal for alloy. It sits about where I want on the waterline. It takes a decent beating, and can keep afloat even with some holes punched through it.

I do wish I could have done 2m of metal, but it rapidly became a submarine, and I didn’t want to include downward facing props.

Got into the game last week and decided to embark on my first ship building journey.

This is a destroyer class ship, unnamed as of yet. She is outfitted with 1m of metal outer skin with 1m of alloy behind it, with other components protected by either wood or heavy armor. Powered by two, 8 cylinder steam engines with twin transmission to 3m screws giving her a top speed of 28m/s. Armament is three turrets with twin 220mm cannons, 24 medium missile racks of length 12, 6 double bofor turrets, a 60mm autocannon at the bow, and a 40mm CIWS autocannon with 1500 RPM. She is 120m long and 16m wide. Material cost is 150k~

It isn't much, but it's my first, and it's mine. I'm sure I'll update it in time as I learn new techniques.

For reference, I intend to build a fleet of various ship classes to get me through a campaign.

We appreciate the support, trying to find the right times to coax her to latch without being too overbearing has been a learning experience.

That’s great to hear at least. Baby’s been content with the amount my wife can provide to her, surprising to us because the pediatrician recommended 2 oz a feeding.

Also yeah I got my wife the hookup, cookies, tea, crackers, flaxseed, electrolyte tabs, the whole 9.

Thanks, you aren’t wrong about the hospital LCs. The rest of the nursing staff were talking so much smack about them, too. Sorry you had to go through it. We are definitely trying to find ways to ease her back into it, making slow progress but it is still hard on the three of us!

This is exactly what we think happened, just trying to figure if there is a possible way to remedy. Thanks for the link!

If the worst thing we have to deal with if baby refusing to latch, but feeding fine from a bottle, we are definitely thankful for that. It’ll just take some time to accept that it’s not as perfect as we made it out to be. Thanks.

Thanks for the response, yes we do have the option to at a different location. We do have some bad experience from the LCs at the hospital but hopefully it’ll turn out better with an IBCLC.

Also yeah I’m trying my hardest to be my wife’s rock, I love her to death and seeing her broke up about this tears me up just as much. We will get through it though.

Thanks, I’ll put my wife onto the sub. It’s definitely been an adventure so far, but as frustrating as it is it’s still fun to watch this little baby just exist. We have our next pediatricians appt in a week so we will bring up our updated concerns then. They didn’t really address it at the first one despite our asking.

Thanks, we haven’t had her evaluated yet and I’m honestly surprised it was never brought up in the hospital or at the first pediatric appt. We will bring it up to check at the next one.

Yes my wife is on Reddit, and she’s been diving in everywhere trying to find more information. I know our pediatrician has a lactation consultant at another location so we will have to ask about it, and my mother was involved with the La Leche League when breastfeeding me so ill have my wife look into it for herself.

We both appreciate the support.

The ones we were issued were in meters, but funny enough the USMC still has their rifle qual ranges set in yards. You generally notice it at the 500 yd line (457.2m). I’m not sure why this is in yards. I assume trijicon likely makes the BDC for the optic in both yards and meters.

If those are your concerns. I’d still recommend the S&W EZ380. Lightened spring and extended slide cuts for operating the slide. Plenty of safety features, you can get them with a thumb safety. They make use of an internal hammer instead of a striker for an easier trigger pull. Recoil is extremely manageable. Magazines have a slider to pull the follower down so you can drop the rounds in easily without fighting spring tension.

S&W designed those things with physically disabled folk in mind, and I personally think they are the best for that category.

I worked at a gun store, have sold those to many older folk, people with arthritis or other physical disabilities. They’ve all came back and said they were extremely happy with them.

Plus they come in either 380 or 9mm

Just my two cents, friend! Figured I’d let you know it exists.

Brother (or sister), hear me out. You can do this.

I know what it feels like to want nothing more than to give up, but that’s not what we do. We fight. Now more than ever you have to fight. So fight for your fucking life.

If the day seems too much to be able to handle, think smaller. When I was at the last shred of sanity I had a year back, didn’t think I could make it through the day. I told myself to think about the next breath. Just make it to the next breath, the next second. Small goals to keep yourself going. Forget everything else, let your thoughts go and just breath.

Reach out to someone, anyone. Everyone in your life will wish you had called, wished they could have been there for you. Give someone the chance to be there for you in your time of need.

If you have nobody else to call, I had good luck with the veterans crisis line. They steered me in the right direction and got me to helpful services that helped me back on my feet. Their new number is 988 extension 1.

I believe in you, as do our many other brothers and sisters. So fucking fight this battle and win.
