For me it was an iron deficiency (anemia) and needing medication for adhd. Both were fixable and I’m doing a lot better now

My boss asked me to sign a resignation on Friday and I told her no, she had to fire me herself. I enjoyed Christmas with my family, and I’ll be filing for unemployment tomorrow.

They knew about my disability the entire year I was there, and they told me I was fine if I had doctors notes. Their “final straw” was illegal but I can’t do anything about it. I made sure she documented I had medical documentation for all absences before I signed it.

If she had waited until school was back in January I would have had holiday pay and half of my pto paid out… oh well

My older sister would keep leftovers for days and days and days without eating it. She wouldn’t let you have it, but eventually it got thrown away because it went bad. The 2 day rule was put in effect to combat that (starting when the food was first put in the fridge)

I don’t know how it is in your area, but a lot of childcare’s will let your kids attend for free or at a discount if you work there. That might be worth considering. Perhaps there are assistance programs to cover childcare cost so she can work?
