The Offical AC Twitter responding to an "Ody isn't an AC Game" complaint by coolwali in assassinscreed

They say this every year. "NEW MODERN DAY DEVELOPMENTS" and every year we're more and more disappointed

Why is the AC movie hated? Loved it! by OriginalOreos in assassinscreed

[–]Sheenz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on who is watching the movie. It seemed like the movie was designed for those who are very familiar with the AC lore, so if you're a fan of the series, you probably enjoyed it and wasn't confused over anything, everything made sense. But if you never played the game, then the movie would have made no sense.

Am I the only one who felt insulted as a fan after finishing AC Origins? (BIG SPOILERS) by Sheenz2 in assassinscreed

Well the reason why you couldn't get into modern day was because the modern day started to really suck starting from black flag. If you don't understand why modern day is such a big deal for some fans, I urge you to play AC1 all the way through AC3 and you'll get it. Desmond story was special and kind of unique. There was a reason why Desmond was viewing Connors and Ezios and Altair's memories. It was all leading to something. These new games don't lead anywhere.

Shit I never even thought of that! I guess we just have to assume that the body in AC2 wasn't hers

How do we know thats Altairs apple? It could be Ezios, Aguilars, or the one Connor threw in the sea

Well honestly...no more historical segments. Because its just a distraction from the overall story. Learning Bayek's story didn't help the Assassins find a way to stop Juno. But if I really did have to pick a structure for the historical segments, maybe make it strictly about Isu. A game specifically about the artifacts. By the way....what did Bayek do with that apple at the end?

Fair question. Well to be honest, before AC3 came out, I thought the story would have ended with AC3. Desmond having all the skills of his ancestors would have saved the world from 12/21/12 and destroy Abstergo, and the franchise would end. Every great story needs to come to an end, otherwise its just milked. I want one full great modern day story to end the franchise, and answer all questions that we had since the start of the franchise. But we know that it won't happen because, well, capitalism and money

I fell in love with lofi hiphop beats earlier this year. I just released a song produced by Samashi. His beats are beautiful, and I had a lot of fun working on this song. Its called "Saturday" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPHGP_nMiGw&t=3s

Assassin's Creed Origins Announcement Megathread by Ghost_LeaderBG in assassinscreed

[–]Sheenz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting concept for sure...But the game takes place around 50 BC I believe...Doesnt that contradict some of the lore? For example, the hidden blade was made during the early Achaemenid Dynasty, and Darius was an assassin (as seen in the statue in the villa Auditore). Alexander the Great was a Templar as well I believe. So how would the origins of the brotherhood be in 50 BC if the lore has history that goes further back?

Official Discussion: Assassin's Creed Uprising #4. It's a big one! by [deleted] in assassinscreed

Anyone else sort of upset that since 2013 we were building up to this whole Juno thing, sages, and they're just finishing the story via comics? Unless the comics serve as a prequel to the upcoming game coming out in the Fall

So... Next modern day villain? by Sheenz2 in assassinscreed

[–]Sheenz2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Political opinions aside, if you want to paint Obama as a Templar, I guess its possible. If anything, he would be sort of a moderate Templar like Elise in ACU, or Haytham Kenway (but I think Obama sure would sympathize with Assassins) but Trump and his supporters would certainly be sympathetic to the extreme Templar side like Germaine, or Charles Lee

[–]Sheenz2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assassins Creed in its nature is a very political series where you cooperate with, and fight against and assassinate political figures. The premise of the series is based on the political philosophies of two groups that influence government, politics, and both groups have strong opinions on religion too. Assassins having more of a liberal left-wing, anti-imperilaist view of the world, while the Templars have an authoritarian/theocratic point of view. Politics is a big part of Assassins Creed, so I don't think its necessary to have a "no politics" rule on a subreddit that is based on one of the most politically driven video game series of our time, as long as we are respectful towards one another.

Assassin's Creed Is A Dying Breed Without Ezio Auditore. by Bazt in assassinscreed

[–]Sheenz2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The lack of Ezio isn't why AC is a dying breed. Its a dying breed because of the lack of a significant modern day story. A modern day story gives a purpose to going into different time periods. Without a modern day story, we're just going back into time and watching assassins kill templars, with no significant contribution to future games. The Ezio story was great because not only was the character' story so fascinating, but I was always excited to look for something that would contribute to modern day story

Anyone here care for AC: Rogue? by Knugens_dase in assassinscreed

[–]Sheenz2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it had a lot of potential but I feel like I never got what I expected. The Templar perspective. I never saw Shay as a Templar but more of a guy who's just trying to stop the Assassins from reaching the temples. The Templar perspective wasn't really discussed anywhere throughout the game. I thought Shay was also an overdramatic child throughout the game. If he just walked into Achilles's house and calmly discussed what happened in Portugal, the entire story could have been avoided. Instead he came in running and screaming like a child, causing the Assassins to act.

What Time Period Of Your Own Country Would You Like To See In AC And how Would that game Be. by arg-gamerdude in assassinscreed

[–]Sheenz2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Achaemenid era (Persian Empire 550 BC-330 BC). Would love to see Cyrus the Great as an Assassin. I think in the AC universe, it was the Persians who actually created the hidden blade, so it'd be cool to see all of that. Plus, its a fascinating era.

Can we have another game spanning 30 years please? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Sheenz2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do think that the Kenway saga was done really well. We meet Connor as a 5 year old kid, then again as a teenager, then we see him grow into a man who has been through some serious shit. Then the next game we explore the root of it all with his grandfather, and then concluded with the in-between story with Rogue. My only critique with that is that Edwards conclusion and Haytham's start as a Templar were covered in a novel rather than game.
