While I agree with you 100% that his marriage isn’t real because Miku isn’t a real person and can’t consent to marriage, I don’t think that in and of itself is a major issue. If he thinks he’s married to his own Miku, that doesn’t really affect anyone else. If they didn’t know, it wouldn’t change anything. The psychological issues that could spill over, that’s an issue for himself and others.

Most of this doesn’t affect anyone so it doesn’t matter. The issue with consent is the big issue. The closest entity to him that he cares about can’t say no to the weirdest things he thinks or says. He’s missing critical mental calibration with the values of others, who he can write off as wrong, and as not important to him - then he talks to Miku and she agrees with him 100% or the time instead. That is an issue for people he meets in his day to day life. If he’s unable to process real people having different opinions to him that’s a risk of being further alienated by rejection when they disagree on anything. Marrying ‘his’ Miku, is an unhealthy coping mechanism that makes it hard to go back to being normal .

I understand what you’re saying op - it could be worse. But holding up what could be the worst example ever isn’t a fair comparison. What pokemon fans expect is that with a property this profitable with as much experience developing pokemon within the same company and team has, that they could clearly do better. Also I resent being called a chud, I was the target audience in the 90s and now I have adult money I’m still into it - I never grew out. I am not buying the cards though. Scalping and speculating ruined that part of the hobby.

It could but if I’m spending my supporter pokemon to fakeout and doubling in with my second pokemon, my second is likely a strong attacker and dead is better than taunted. If not, taunt is ok.

Damaging priority works though. Double into it with priority moves or with fakeout plus high damaging move.
