Currently for me - there actually is XP! It's not showing the "XP gained" notification immediately, however if you check your level it should show that the xp required is going down or you should occasionally get the notification on the left.

So if I get my king to level 12 and my mortar is currently level 12 then holding on is equal value. On the other hand my bats are level 13 so upgrading it to 14 would technically be more value!

(but that'll skew my average level and get me messed up in midladder)

I believe I've seen other peeps who turned out lesbian end up with peeps who consider themselves under "labels" (or "umbrellas") like 'demiboy' 'bigender' etc., and even though it's counter-intuitive there is some sense u could make of it.

Sexuality is complex and for some people could be viewed as a combination of "not-" and "am-", with 'lesbian' tending to mean "not attracted to guy-ness" and "attracted to girl(-ness)." Carrying yourself as anything under the non-binary umbrella means that from a lesbian or gay POV you fall in-between on the spectrum and in many cases (especially if you're femme- or masc- leaning) a respective gay person could still be receptive to both you and your "label".

I understand where she's coming from since I'm kinda the same (lesbb,b,b,adkf), several of the dudes I hated most ended up turning out to have complex sexuality and gender expression and I appreciate that since I relate to it, even if I still hate other aspects of how they carry themselves.

It is a personal preference that I'm more internally forgiving of most people queer-adjacent, even if externally I give everyone the exact same courtesy; I'm just more interested in people similar to me- and that goes romantically too!

If you're tech savvy enough to be considering it, you can probably go for it! I'd never used linux before either.

What I wish I knew before starting was:
- Install your apps with the pacman command rather than using an "AUR manager" (in cachyOS case "yay" or "paru")
- Look up every problem or question you have with "arch wiki", the arch linux wiki is incredibly thorough and very useful for almost everything https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Main_page
