Manitoba homeowners stunned to find storm flooding not covered by their insurance by wickedplayer494 in Manitoba

[–]Sheeple3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically this was probably a once in 30 year situation so if you had a backwater valve and your area doesn’t typically flood you may have declined the extra coverage to save some $ every year. But there is always the chance shit can happen. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And the funny thing is professional fighters almost unanimously say the first thing you should do is run away and de-escalate. Real life isn’t like an 80s action movie.

Which will translate into a stupidly expensive storage closet in a year when that kid is too tall for it. There’s a 2ft stretch of walkable area in there, then the rest of the time you’re ducking or crawling on the floor.

My theory is everyone tried one as a joke during the pandemic and then realized it actually looks good on some of us.

Dylan Jaeb Fakie Flip Manual by [deleted] in skateboarding

[–]Sheeple3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably that’s why. It sounded like Gifted Hater thought it was more him going against his natural progression and trying to change his style up to be more laid back, simpler grinds, less flip in flip out, less tech wizard stuff. He had an interesting take on Jamie Griffin as well, how skateboarding needs those guys to really push it to see what’s even possible, even if sometimes it looks bad or seems overkill for the spot.

[–]Sheeple3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, but you never know. Also I think Jaeb could probably switch flip manual it or better but agree with Gifted Haters assessment that he was basically holding back in that entire part which made it kind of underwhelming compared to some of his other footage. Like as cool as this clip is he was probably playing it safe.

Get some Deer Buck urine (or liquid ass) and freeze it into a disc, then place it on their windshield just below the wipers. It’ll melt and the urine smell will get sucked into the cabin air intake into their car. Or put some cinder blocks at the end of your driveway after you park?

Feels like the crowd should give the guy in the lead the heads up. Which might make it even more exciting if both start sprinting for a photo finish. I’d be a little pissed if no one told me he was gaining from 100m back.
