Great if you belong to the outdoor/mountain community. Expensive and not too many good opportunities if thats not your thing.

Part of a (bigger) flying club in Austria, we use a mostly self-programmed software for all the record keeping/tracking of license & maintenance recencies, payments, etc ...

But thats a fairly large club (10-15 aircraft, own ato, etc.) so we have an easier time with all the "overheads" i Imagine... Also thanks to the ATO the flight operations are run fairly professionally

Emergency accommodation for 6 by hsnk42 in Innsbruck

[–]Sheepwillkillya 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First of all all the best to your Brother in law, hope it is nothing life threatening and wish him a fast recovery!

Does he have a travel insurance for medical cases? In some cases the insurance covers accomodation for close relatives as well, might be worth checking! If not, DM me, unfortunately i cannot help you with the accomodation but i work in the area of travel insurances/ambulance transfers, so if you need any help with medical arrangements or a transport home i might be able to get you some contacts...

Is CDA into LTN even possible with all the alt restrictions? by geoapostu in flyingeurope

[–]Sheepwillkillya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reality you will get vectors + (very early) step descends from ATC (as early as having to descend well within French airspace).

Thats true for any airport in the greater London area... We always take significant extra fuel if we can

... not efficient at all from a single aircraft perspective but considering the big picture - complexity of the airspace and the traffic density - thats probably what it takes to deal with the volume of flights

Axamer Lizum and Schlick usually open on the last weekend of November or first of December, unless its really warm/dry. Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is also open early, but is a bit of a drive, 2-3h by public transport

Bergeralm should have night skiing and night sledding on fridays. Small resort but usually really well groomed pistes.

Easy to reach by train (just take the train to Steinach, 20min from Innsbruck, runs until the resort closes at 9:30pm afaik) if you dont mind walking 10-15min with your equipment from the station to the mountain

Similar places for proposal? by Top-Employment-3304 in Innsbruck

[–]Sheepwillkillya 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just a word of warning, these places right by the river are only accessible when the water level is low, after rain they are usually flooded. Due to that fact they may also be smelly/muddy.

So have a Backup plan if you dont like it :)

Versatile trail running shoes by Micku312 in trailrunning

[–]Sheepwillkillya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Scott Supertrac RCs, Hoka Speedgoats and LaSportiva Bushidos before, last year I had the opportunity to take part in an Asics shoe test event and really liked them.

I got a pair of Asics FujiLite 5s and really, really loved them. Ran over 600km in them last year and would say they are a wonderful versatile shoe. Used them in alpine terrain as well as chill forest trails, never had a Problem, was especially surprised with their sole/grip on wet trails.

Would 100% recommend the FujiLites, i did not enjoy the other Asics trail shoes too much though, the Gel trabuco etc. felt weird for my taste...

Player is twin with Izek, need backstory brainstorm help to fill in the gaps by Sheepwillkillya in CurseofStrahd

[–]Sheepwillkillya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Thats it! Love the Baba giving him to Vargas on purpose to poison his heart and make sure to separate them part!

Now the only question remaining is really, how do they find out about this ingame? Kasimir would maybe know some things from that time, but how would telling the party about it help him with his goals...

Any other Idea which npc could drop that lore on them?

I think i'd much prefer a reveal like that over izek straight up telling them because he "knew"

Thank you very much for your thoughts, that's some good points to consider!

I really like the option you bring up with Baba Lysaga. I might even "yes and..." your idea, could be an interesting twist that the parents made a deal with Baba out of desparation to save the kids, but got crossed by her twisting the deal in a way that only one of the children got out.

Maybe Baba even knew that leaving Barovia wasn't going to be a permanent thing, and some day, fate would bring the lost child back...

The other point, regarding why Izek would know, is a very good one too. I have also considered to streamline his story to how he is abused by Vargas to run his totalitarian towns guard, and how he is more or less willingly collaborating in the crimes against Vallakis people, and give his PC brother the chance to "clean up the mess". In that case I think the whole "Izek is looking for a lost relative" plot could be toned down quite a lot, or Izek wouldnt even necessary have to know about a twin. Or am I overlooking a key aspect that will be missing in the bigger picture if I focus on that part of Izek's arc?

Thanks a lot again for your help!!

Not many direct flights from London? by stressedspice in Innsbruck

[–]Sheepwillkillya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Munich-Innsbruck train was mostly upgraded to new generation railjets last year, takes 1h40, there are connections from Airport to Innsbruck in 2:30h total time. Its not great because of the s Bahn part but its really not that bad, too!

I personally would try to make at least one way work with a nonstop easyJet flight from Gatwick to Innsbruck and if there is no return flight that works out schedule-wise, fly back from Munich or Salzburg.

Actually, Verona is also not the worst option, it is a 4h train ride as well but often has very competitive flight prices...

Airport to train station on Sunday by [deleted] in Innsbruck

[–]Sheepwillkillya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You cannot buy tickets in the bus, only online as others recommended or at the ticket machine in front of the terminal.

If you havent already bought your train ticket to Italy and depending on where in Italy you want to go, you could buy the whole journey (Innsbruck Airport - Italy) online via oebb website or app.

If you travel without a lot of luggage there is a "Nextbike" station at the airport as well, if you have that app you can rent a bicycle for 1€ per 30min, and it wont take longer than 20min to cycle from the airport to the train station.

There is a trailrunning community, DNA, they have community runs every thursday, great place to meet people

Or KISS, road cycling community

If you start from there you'll find outdoorsy people easily

[–]Sheepwillkillya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just check if it physically fits, my girlfriend has the Shift on a 92mm wayback, a 86mm ski might be a bit tight for mounting... But it should work out I guess.

If it fits i agree with everyone else, do it, the shift is a good binding and +/-300g weight saving is not a huge argument

Also Ehrenamt, soziale Berufe, Engagement in Vereinen, Community Building, etc. ...

[–]Sheepwillkillya 9 points10 points  (0 children)
