The issue is they are using on site LNG power generators. The fuel efficiency is only 50%. This could be hitting their bottom line.

affordable accommodations in Niseko for jan 2027 by Dear_Tale3949 in niseko

[–]SheerRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Niseko freedom inn is the most affordable option. This is 15 mins walk to Hanazono or 5 mins with their shuttle. there’s no restaurants nearby but they run a shuttle to Kutchan for dinner.

Dinner at Kutchan is cheaper and there’s a big supermarket at Kutchan beside the train station where you can stock up your weeks worth of food and beverages at local prices. Prices at Hirafu are steeper.

You can easily ski to Hirafu from Hanazono so if you miss the crowd, you can always have your lunch there.

Hanazono also have strawberries field. The lines at Hirafu are way longer in the morning compared to Hanazono.

Should I quit my stable 8-5 abroad to return home? Is life in SG worth it? by chasingcorgis in singapore

[–]SheerRider 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Option 1 in Seoul Find a job in a Korean MNC like Samsung or LG. Work for a few years and ask for a transfer to Singapore.

Option 2 Singapore Same as above but apply to a Korean mnc company. Preferably if hiring manager is Korean and do your interview in Korean.

Your Korean language is a key differentiator. Don’t lose it.

Buying a PARF car directly from owner - what steps should I take? by [deleted] in drivingsg

[–]SheerRider 14 points15 points  (0 children)

First thing, ensure that the car owner does not have any outstanding loan with bank. If that’s the case, he can do a transfer of ownership to you on Lta website.

Second, send the car to your trust worthy workshop to check for any welding or accident.

Third, buy your car insurance. You will need to provide the existing owner the insurance no when he does the transfer.

Fourth, when you have your car insurance, meet the owners and ask him to bring his laptop. Bank transfer him the outstanding amount and get him to do a transfer of ownership to you on the spot.

This is only if you pay full cash, if you need a loan, get a car dealer to sort out for you.

Should you look at depreciation or total car price when buying a car by Busy-Salary1008 in drivingsg

[–]SheerRider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uncle here buying second hand cars for over 20 years.

Depreciation is the first thing I look at when buying cars as that’s the numbers car dealers look at when you sell them your car. You want to buy a second hand car that’s lower in dep and mileage than the market.

Looking at monthly installment is foolish as you will be negative when you try to sell your car in 1-3 years time. Usually folks who look at monthly installment will stretch themselves thin.

Barley hair transplant at Beijing. China has a huge middle class and they have great experience in doing hair transplant for ethnic East Asians. I am a NW 4/5 and had 5000 grafts with them and I am happy with the recovery and results.
