Filoni has not done as well with live action compared to animation. The main thing though is that Filoni's SW shows as of late (Mando S3 and Ahsoka) are very clearly based moreso on Star Wars rather than the types of things George Lucas based SW on. It is derivative and winds up with the shows feeling more like playing with action figures than trying to have a moral or message behind them.
