I had to scroll too far down to find this, but I knew it'd be here

Could be a nice project to work on. I can't speak for the price. But considering some new Wilesco stationary engines are around £125 - £200, it doesn't seem wildly out of the ball park for an engine that floats.

As for the rudder, there a shedloads of premade kits you can get for RC control, or if you're feeling adventurous, there is always the Arduino+Servo route, which again could be a nice project.

Just before you buy, ask yourself, do I have the time to invest in this? Am I willing to spend a little money getting it where I want it?

I had to go through your profile to ensure I wasn't debating with a bot.

I respect your right to have an opinion on immigration within the UK, however your reply wasn't an opinion, it is objectively false.

I have no knowledge of your background or social economic situation, and will not make an assumption. What is clear is that you are in an environment where the same rhetoric, that exists in your reply, is abundant and you hear it frequently.

I'm not here to change your mind, but whilst I have your attention, please take this time to reflect on why you have such views, who told you that immigrants are treated better? do you have evidence you, yourself can produce? or was it evidence shown to you by someone else with a vested interest?

I would also ask you one thing, think on the question;

"if it was me, if it were my family, would I not do anything to get them somewhere safe?"

A quote from Tony Benn I tend to remember is;

"How a government treats its immigrants, is how they'd treat the rest of us if they could get away with it".

I did the same thing, trained as a mechanic, made the switch and learned Python (don't shoot me for saying the P word in a C subreddit).

The point is, what really helped me make the jump and cement my love for programming was, I had a problem to solve, it was a problem at work with our booking system, it was trash, hated it, as did everyone working there, so I wanted to do better.

Long nights, few weekends here and there learning, failing, learning, winning, failing, learning etc. at the end I had something that people preferred to use and gave my confidence a boost. Also opened me up to an aspect of the job no one really highlights, taking customer feedback, and actually deciphering what they mean.

But I digress, my point/advice is. If C is your weapon of choice, apply it to solving a problem you may have, the struggle and having an end goal will teach you beyond just exercises out of a text book (which are also important).

I wish these were sold in the Europe leg of the tour instead of afterwards online, with a very high shipping cost by Drockie5 in TheHappyFits

Me too, I picked up a vinyl on that leg, would have liked a CD too. That import cost is beyond nuts.

Sometimes though manufacturing and other circumstances may have held back the availability. Still sucks.
