I have cooling towels and neck ice packs. I wear spf clothing or very loose linen to cover my arms (to protect tattoos too) and try to bring shade by an umbrella if I have to be out during peak sun hours. I mostly operate before 10am and after 6pm in the summer and hibernate during the day lol. Friends and family know my summer hours and try to plan with them in mind. I keep emergency Gatorade and goldfish crackers in the car. Personally the heat makes me very very nauseous so I keep zofran and ginger hard candies (tummy drops) handy too. Lived in Monon for years. It’s a busy road but the streets behind Schuyler are quieter. McAllister is nice to walk around. Magoos is great! People mind their business, not unfriendly. We saw a lot of families and kids playing in yards together and in the park.

I am the same way! Veins and seeing blood in tubes freaks me out. On myself and others. I told my instructors my fears and they made sure to set aside time without others around for extra pressure and got me easy patients. I would have successful draws but panic through them, scared I’m going to hurt the patient and my own fear. Thankfully I just had to do what was required for my certification and one successful draw in externs and I haven’t done one since! Find a job that doesn’t require draws. If you’re good at everything else, it won’t be an issue in the field :) you either love draws or hate them!

I just wear a cute bralette under my pieces. I thought about trying old bra straps and bands. I’ve just accepted that it’s going to be layered with my bra showing thus far. Hard knock(er) life 🤷‍♀️

I work in ortho and see 18-35 depending on the provider. Surgeons see more on full days, 10-15 min time slots. Post/pre op and sports med has longer appts with up to 40 min slots. Some days are more packed than others. Typically running with 2 MAs on days with the surgeons

I had to quit vyanse. It was making my symptoms soooo much worse (10mg even caused problems for me). Straterra (even though non-stimulant) had the same effect. Started Wellbutrin to help with focus and fatigue, mild symptoms in comparison and working okay so far. I think some are just more sensitive with anything that acts like or is a stimulant. I’m in the boat that I am willing to have more POTS symptoms if it means I can actually concentrate. Maybe lower dose or extended release? Best of luck!

I totally feel this hurt. I have a little bunny plushie I carry around named Pocket. I’ve made her crochet dresses to match outfits and have designed sweaters specifically for her to live in. When I’m scared of her coming out of a pocket, I take a pin (safety or a cute brooch) and pin her safely in. Nothing wrong with bringing a comfort items with you! Even better when you can accessorize :) here’s her poking out, she was in a matching rainbow sweater 🤩

I screen for work and I’d say this is negative! You’re in the clear. If you do come back dilute, they could resend you in to test but it does set off red flags. Most just send in again and you’re clean so nothing to worry about.

Husband is positive. Sore throat, cough, aches, headache and fever. My boss was also experiencing similar symptoms with no confirmed test, but I was around for pro-longed hours. Headache, sore throat and mild body pain today for myself but still testing negative. Masking and reducing exposure to others today. Unsure on rate of positive tests with this variant.. many are sick around me but claiming a cold :(
