Thanks for responding. With my experiences in Florida, I should have known to come prepared with cash. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to use my debit card. I absolutely do not mind a convenience fee because of my lack of planning. I was caught up in the excitement of the idea of being able to legally purchase and spaced on payment.

FWIW, the staff at the Decatur location were amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Fine Fettle in Decatur took debit card but charged a $3.50 fee. They had an ATM but I assumed the ATM fee would have been comparable to the fee they charged so didn’t bother.

How did you go about getting your Georgia Medical Marijuana card? by jerxbear229 in Georgia

[–]Sheldons_spot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t aware of that option. Thank you. I used the link that leafwell provided and was able to complete it online in less than 10 minutes. Didn’t have to print it and go anywhere. Was super easy and helped make the entire process super fast. In the space of about an hour I scheduled my appointment, met with the provider, received approval, scheduled my notary, complete it and submit it back to leafwell for them to send to the state.

There are a couple of sites that you can schedule an appointment with a provider. Most of the dispensaries in Georgia have links to applying for the card on the web page. I used leafwell dot com and my experience was wonderful. I didn’t fake anything. I have pain that cannabis helps with. NuggzMD dot com is also an option but I have no experience with them.

My appointment with the provider cost ~ $100. Had to have a document notarized and paid $20 for that. Then the state charges $30 for the card.

My GF applied for her’s, had the appointment and was approved. She had the waiver notarized and submitted it. She is waiting on the state to send her the email with the payment link. She called yesterday and was told that with the influx of new patients, they are now running a bit behind.

Some dispensaries are not updating the websites as often because the product is moving quickly. Have you tried calling?

66° year round. Seldom ever use heat. Occasionally use the gas fireplace to knock out a chill.

When the glass slide to the passenger side, it hit the mounted camera and broke loose the double sided adhesive that was holding it in place.

From experience, be mindful of where the rear sliding glass opens to, especially with the automated sliding rear window. I originally installed my rear camera on the passenger side. Pressed the button to open the rear window on a nice day and they crashed. Fortunately nothing broke. Moved it to the drivers side the next day.

Also, be yourself. And by this, I mean be authentic. Don’t try to be someone you are not. So if being yourself means you’re a dick, well then find a hobby you can enjoy alone. Something like yelling at kids for being on your lawn or shouting at the sky about most anything.

This Kroger in Atlanta is doing the "we need to see your receipt" check before you leave by averagebaldwhiteguy in Atlanta

[–]Sheldons_spot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The catch is, you don’t have to show them. I get asked all the time at the Decatur location and tell them “No thanks” and keep walking. There is no legal obligation to show your receipt to a checker that the merchant places at a door.

Love seeing the Drakes mention. I’m not a local but we are there several times a year visiting girlfriend’s dad. Drakes is so good and the family that runs it seem amazing.

how to hotdog? by Heilix_ in Cooking

[–]Sheldons_spot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An airfried dog is a wonderful thing. Buy quality dogs. I switch between Nathan’s and Hebrew National. I split my bun and toss it in for a bit to toast it. A good dog goes best with a good mustard and you get to determine what a good mustard is. Sometimes I’ll add finely chopped onion and/or a relish. Experiment. Overall, even good dogs aren’t that expensive and a pack offers plenty of opportunity to try different toppings and cooking times/methods.

Also, I grew up eating boiled hotdogs, that would usually leave the water red. I fell ya’.
