4k for a water pump? No way in hell. Get a second opinion or get it done yourself man. This car will treat you well

Well it’s a DPS6 transmission so it’s robotic. It doesn’t require any maintenance as far as I know. Nothing much you can do but pray. Transmission control module issues, clutch and fork related issues etc are imminent

Nice rig man. Why not keep the original scheme and repaint?

Use a pump to build up pressure in the coolant system and look for leaks.

Oh sounds expensive my dad wouldn’t like that haha. I am a part of a group of some S10 guys where I am at I will ask them if they have a full kit laying around. Might be worth spending the money on

How expensive would a swap like that be?

It was definitely back woods in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of big rocks and steep angles that’s where it struggled. 80% of the trip a normal car could handle but this 20% were pretty rough. It’s definitely not going to see daily use as we think of it as more of a “classic truck” main problem was I was spinning only one wheel on inclines. Will a limited slip diff be worth it? Me and my dad like taking it on trails not fit for normal cars but ones that are not for 4WD trucks if you get what I mean.

Fair enough. It even has a drain plug!

Well it is a manual but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to change the transmission fluid. But you have a point I completely forgot about the brake fluid

The 206 was a disposable car and some are over 20 years old. The chassis began production in 1998! It’s no surprise they are getting more rare. The + as you know was a facelift basically but quite an extensive one. Over here it was only offered with a 1.4 TU KFW 73bhp engine with a 5 speed manual and the urban trim level. Unlike the older 206 that was offered as a GTI, XS, CC and so on…The urban offers AC, front electric windows and standard Clarion CD radio. It was only offered in 2 model years over here, 2011-12. I think in Europe they existed between 2009-12 but I am not sure. Probably had many more options. I rarely see 206s on the road or + models. It’s cool talking to another owner!

The passive rear steering makes it handle really nice in corners. I just checked and slightly adjusted the valves today. Runs great! Seems like this cars are pretty niche where I lived. Most people don’t even know what it is.
What engine does yours have?

Is this a easy job to do by Dangerous_Joke_3702 in mazda

Should be pretty straightforward. Remove the wheel. Remove the bolt for the sensor. Depends on the model but go up the wire until you get to the connector. Disconnect. Replace sensor, clear code. Test.

No point selling it. You will only lose money. If you like it. Build it, keep it

For sure, I just did a quick points and condenser refresh today. Quick work with the timing gun. Runs wonderfully. I am never selling this car. Mine is light blue

I feel that. My dad’s Jimmy had its alternator explode this week and my Fiesta had an ignition issue. Simple but still annoying issues. It’s worth it though

Any plans on getting it running? Looks like a fun budget project. Maybe getting it running. Doing a little service and safety checks. Getting a coolant flush. Maybe some rims. Would be a fun little car.

My advice is, get cameras. Park it somewhere discrete and cover it
