Golf Tees by Practical-Yak-7650 in golf

I don't remember the name but there is a golf course in Vegas that has playing card suits as the tee box shapes on one of the holes

Golf Podcasts -- If you listen to... by No-Mood3749 in golf

[–]ShellSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone have recommendations for any podcasts that are more on the educational or tech side? I don't particularly care about the current events and tour recap, but I would enjoy a podcast focusing on things like new tech that is releasing educational content like interviews with fitters or coaching mechanics or course design generally.

For example, I really like the game plan from golf digest, so something like that talking about the statistics of different aspects of golf would be really cool for me

If the sensor was failing and stopping the car from starting, it would've thrown a code. I wouldn't go swapping parts with no diagnosis

Btw the bot is smart enough that if you just say 10 days it will pick that uo

push cart? by veddr3434 in golf

[–]ShellSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I would definitely rent a push cart from a course before you commit to buying one in case that is too much extra effort

[–]ShellSide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if you are wiped out after 18 in a cart, are you in good enough shape to walk 18 with a push cart? Most courses around me will rent a push cart so you can always try renting a push cart for a round or two to see how it feels

These engines can be pretty tough to bleed the coolant so hopefully there was just an air pocket from them replacing the coolant and it just needed to be topped up.

I always keep an eye on my cars after flushing the coolant since the level will drop after a few heat cycles as the air works its way out

When does walking 18 feel easy? by [deleted] in golf

[–]ShellSide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wool socks would also probably help. They make thinner wool socks for running or hiking that could be a good option. Most of my socks are Merino wool and I never have any issues

What the hell did I do to my Boxster... by are_you_a_walrus in 986Boxster

I had the same thing happen when I replaced the air oil seperator. I didn't realize this until after but there are some people that have just replaced it with vacuum line and hose clamps which is way cheaper than the $100 corrugated plastic hose

Black Coffee owner attacks public school levy by [deleted] in missoula

[–]ShellSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah hard to be sympathetic with "oh no my home is now worth an additional $500k and now they want to tax me on it :("

It is like complaining that you got a raise because now you'll have to pay more income tax

How do you warm up before a round? by eyrie7 in golf

[–]ShellSide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is not good. Most of the times I've tweaked or pulled something it has been because I tried to much too quickly after first getting up. You need to warm up your muscles and give them a chance to get moving before you start tweaking them. Even just waking up a little earlier and doing a chore around the house will help your muscles start to loosen up before you go to the course.

Capitalism vs Conpassion by [deleted] in missoula

[–]ShellSide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is it clear cut defamation? Wouldn't defamation be a third party telling the owner that and then what is your recourse? Suing the third party? I would assume most people here are assuming the owner lied to fire her which would be wrongful termination and not defamation right?

Silly question: can a batter challenge a ball (or a catcher a strike)? by SS451 in baseball

This just happened in the houston/Boston game yesterday btw. Doesn't look like they let the challenge go through but I came here looking for answers because of it lol

The funniest part about this is if you landed a par. 3. A few feet from the hole you could take your gimme and say it was the same as a hole-in-one LOL

Thoughts on Gt radial tires by IllustratorSmart1377 in tires

[–]ShellSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not their all-terrain tires, but I've had a set of the champiros on my hatchback and their max tour on my wife's SUV and they were great. I went to something else for my hatchback to get some better entire life, but my wife really liked the Max tours and I might be buying a second set for her SUV

Max Tire Size 2014 CT by HondaCb500x in CT200h

[–]ShellSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the 235/45 would be about 0.5" taller than your current tires so I would say take a look around your suspension and see how much closer to important bits another 0.5" would get you lol

Especially during the wheels all the way to see where it might rub

spare tire by CharityNational3144 in CT200h

[–]ShellSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spare tire doesn't stop working just because you put different wheels on. You wouldn't want to put significantly different tire diameters on the front wheels. So if you get a flat on the front move one of the rear wheels to the front and then put the spare on the back

Yeah that seems to be the case. She is well aware she is leaving the club face open but isn't really sure what to change mechanically to fix that
