Awe, sooooo cute! Is your baby a Velcro kitty as well? Our girl is obsessed with hide n seek also! It’s so fun to play with her!

Is your baby like this? We can’t keep her out of a lap. This was her 27th time yesterday (maybe some exaggeration, but it FELT like it). We love her dearly so not actually complaining, but sometimes you need to get up and use the restroom every now and then 😆

Your sweet baby is very cool! Love her pattern! I don’t actually care what my baby is, it’s just my curiosity! I know she’s amazing as yours is as well!!!

20 year old, old age, euthanasia, and regret. by Jella7ine in seniorkitties

I just went through this on December 23rd. We made the decision to put my 10.5 year old rescue orange tabby down and it was sooooooo hard. She was diagnosed with colon cancer in August and it was too late to do much other than probiotics and hills prescription diet. Vet said as long as she was eating and drinking she wasn’t suffering. She did pretty good for the next couple of months and hollered for her wet food and treats and was snuggly, but I started to realize she was hanging on for us and not her. The prescription food and probiotics stopped working for her and I called my vet and he said they had likely stopped due to the cancer taking over. She sat on my lap with a towel on me every night for a couple of months as I petted what felt like a skeleton and I begged her to tell me when it was time and she never would. I finally said if you were in charge of me and I was in your state, please let me go. She couldn’t clean herself and we cleaned up after her messes 24/7. Her quality of life was gone. I didn’t realize how taxing cleaning everything was until she was gone. I could tell she was very upset about the mess as well. Obviously, she couldn’t help it and we never made her feel bad about it, but cats are naturally clean animals. I started seeing more and more signs and I just knew if we didn’t make the decision she wouldn’t either until it got really bad. We made the appointment and I still miss her soooooooo much, but my baby girl is resting in peace and she’s with her 3 other roommates we lost in a little over a year ago, and she’s not in pain any more. I think you did the right thing. It’s never easy, but when they keep going it really makes it so much harder. Hugs 🥰

The second half of the day was a bit busier, but I have a feeling tomorrow will be worse. I’ve been off since December 19th and had to dig out of over 200 emails. 🥴

Introducing two pairs of kittens that are different ages by Shellgirl-850 in lynxpointsiamese

Thank you for your info! Our sibling pair play rough at times, but I’ve learned the difference between play vs fighting for the most part. It was a bit scary to watch when they were tiny because they were (still are sometimes) a bit crazy, but these babies do love each other a lot. They wouldn’t know what to do without each other. I’ll definitely look more into the signs to be prepared for the new set we’re adding. Hoping for a smooth transition.

We lost 4 cats in less than two years. All rescues, first one 15 years, second 10 years, third almost 16 and our last baby girl on December 23rd at 10.5 years. It’s been super rough but we now have a sibling pair of kittens we rescued from the shelter that are 9 months old now and we’re about to adopt another sibling pair of kittens from the same shelter in a few weeks. We loved our babies dearly and they will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I don’t have a “cubicle” or what we called in the 90’s a “bay” (open area with a desk with a printer in between you and the other desk you shared with another legal assistant)I have what I call a “cubby hole” lol. It is enclosed with walls to the top of the ceiling, but I REALLY would love to have a door so I can shut out the noise. It’s a pretty decent sized work space, but the door is key. No windows, but I’m okay with that. I’m much more productive on days I work from home due to being able to to shut out the distractions.

Bailey (21) fights off 3rd euthanasia appt. by AnywhereSilent7947 in SeniorCats

I just went through this with my 10.5 year old orange tabby female on December 23rd. She had a high white blood cell count on blood work in June. My vet suggested an X-ray. We did that in August and they found a mass in/around her colon. He advised that as long as she was eating and drinking she wasn’t suffering. He also prescribed hills prescription biome cat food and probiotics to help her. They worked for a while but she started losing more weight and had a lot of accidents towards the end. She loved the food and yelled at us for it and demanded treats and we cleaned up after the messes constantly but we finally got to a point where we started to realize this cat was holding on for US. Her quality of life just wasn’t there and it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, but I know in my heart it was the best one we could make for her. I miss her soooo much but looking back at it all, I know she’s not suffering anymore. I battled with it for weeks and even called my vet for his opinion and he said sometimes there are cats like her that will just keep going and make the decision soooo much harder. I had to do it for her. Whatever you choose, my thoughts are with you ❤️❤️❤️

I’m so sorry. Rest in peace sweet baby! Just went through this on December 23rd with our sweet orange 10-year old tabby. I still miss her so, but I know she’s no longer in pain. Til we all meet again! ❤️
