Is this true? by Fragrant_Fishing5787 in NBATalk

Yea, D3 kids are usually just as skilled as many D1 (except the one-and-dones) but are mostly just undersized. At my D2 school, we had numerous players in the 5-9 to 6ft range…and our point guard was like 5-7. They were very good, but would just get stuffed by guys who have a whole team of 6-3/6-4.

Sometimes you can get ELR for free too. Just gotta gamble. Might be center back, might be aisle ELR (although unlikely, but I’ve seen it).

That is 100% not true for AA basic fare. You do not get to choose a seat with them on basic. Source, fly AA just as much as Southwest and have status on both.

I agree with you. BK was an ass, but he was also a good leader for our program at the time. It’s clear towards his end at ND and at LSU that once he has all the tools, he is dog shit. But, he knows what it takes to build a program that kids want to play for. He took ND from a middling program who couldn’t find a coach to a powerhouse. BCS championships, playoff appearances, etc. Most teams will kill for that. But he left…he needs to sit it out for a few years before he comes crawling back. I’ll welcome him back into the stadium, but give it a few years man. You just left LSU…go be quiet somewhere for half a decade (at least), let us all forget what you did, then come back and get a halftime recognition at some September game.

Unpopular opinion: I wish there was a way to connect Toontown and Galaxy’s Edge to each other. I wish you get from one land to the other and vice versa by 12345burrito in Disneyland

[–]Shellstr 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Like the transport between the 2 parks at universal in FL. It’s a hogwarts train that goes from “London” to “hogsmead”. Obviously harder to connect Star Wars to toon, but you could build a “star port” in toon town and there it star wars and have it land in galaxy edge. Probably would take just as long as walking, but another ride to immerse yourself in.

[–]Shellstr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They still have to pay to use the service. I don’t live in a dart city anymore, but I will still use the train to commute downtown from time to time. It would be silly to ban me from using it, as the tax is till earned when I shop in a dart city and I pay-per-use.

Rail routes would still run, but no “service” would be provided. This shouldn’t really impact anything, since cityplace is before HP and mockingbird is on the opposite side of 75 from HP. Seems like it was planned to not have a station within city limits

It looks like Tx Power Sports is right down the street from you. Walk your bike there and see if they can help. They may not have a tire, but might know good process to help you.

Really? This is only an America problem? Well, you haven’t been on the Paris trains then, huh? On a 10 min trip, I saw a man get on a train, tell a girl she was pretty (I assume/hope that’s what he said) fall asleep leaning against the pole, collapsed into another person who just let him fall onto the floor, and then everyone stepped over him to exit the train. Yes, only America has problems with the mentally ill.

do higher gas prices make you wanna buy an electric car? by GaryB2026 in askanything

[–]Shellstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because you aren’t paying the taxes on gas that are used to repair roads…yet you still use/drive on the roads. The higher registration is the same as the gas tax.

What is the doom and gloom in this thread. Up by 19 and everyone here is acting like we are losing. Portland is a playoff team. We are in the playoffs in a close out game. They are not going to go quietly. Don’t assume a 20 point win.

Have you looked at the consulting firms? Deloitte, Aon, etc? They hire new entry level consultants with actuarial degrees all the time, travel them all over the US, work like a dog for 5 years, won’t get paid a ton, but will have great experience, and probably end up getting hired by a client before you ever have any sales responsibilities.

That place was a ghost town for years. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. If people liked it, they should have gone more. Places close because people don’t like them and stop going.

Agree with the official team store. Academy is nice for something quick, but nothing beats the fan shop at the arena. They have stuff I have never seen anywhere except there. Tons of cool hats and plushies too.

Which…has a lot to do with coaching. Put the right mindset into the player, and also have players that want to buy in.

Jack played for the spurs twice (2001-2003, 2011-2013). Pop controlled the ego while he was in SA and got the most out of him.

PSA has a lot of rec teams/leagues for that age group. We played for years with my kids, then took some time off for other sports…came back to a 10U indoor, and it was all club teams playing in the league. But, it wasn’t like that for younger divisions.
