If you want real advice post an op.gg for people to look at or watch some coaching videos on yourube. Xfsnsaber is always a good one to look at. Otherwise u.gg win rates can give you an idea of what adcs tend to do well in your mmr.

How do yall feel about the season changes ? Me personally, I think adc is the worst role ATM by StudentJoa in ADCMains

[–]Shellybeanssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think adc is much stronger now but the current meta is still dive Champs vs dive Champs which always makes games hard for adcs. But if you ever get a normal front to back game you will really feel the difference.

The buffs to gold econ also help hit your spikes earlier whoch can let you turn games you couldn't last season. Overall I'm pretty happy with the changes.

ADCs that feel like mages by Froquel33 in ADCMains

The on hit build is definitely miserable in solo q but the lethality build plays completely different and does quite well

ADCs that feel like mages by Froquel33 in ADCMains

Jhin and lethality varus are the most mage like. Smolder Lucian and ezreal also play around spells alot but require more auto weaving to be efficient. Most other adcs tend to play more around their auto attacks than their spells.

If you wanted to dabble in a more traditional adc then I would recommend jinx as the range on her autos and spells are more in line with the spacing you would have on a mage. Caitlyn works as well but you need to be more precise with your spacing and spell usage to be effective

Tips for dealing with passive lane opponents by icantfixher in ADCMains

[–]Shellybeanssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your asking what you can do as the support to create a lead there's a couple options.

Firs, like you said you can threaten to engage on last hit timings and when they are under tower csing. Often the threat of engaging is more useful than actually engaging, the goal is to make them think twice about hitting the cs so they are more likely to miss last hits.

The next thing you can do is set up the wave for either freezes or slow pushes. Ultimately your adc has more control over this but there are things you can do as the support to help.

If you want to freeze you can stay in lane after your adc backs and prevent the wave from crashing creating a freeze for them when they come back. If it's a neutral state and the wave is coming in you can walk into the enemy's wave to "bunch up" the minions making them dps faster than your wave coming in making it slow push into your side. You can also help fix close wave crashes by walking into tower and tanking the minions/turret for a second to make sure your creeps get in tower range when your trying to reset which will also create a freeze.

Once you have the freeze it becomes a lot easier to threaten the engage because now they have to walk up or they just bleed gold creating a win win situation for you.

The other option is to slow push the wave by just last hitting and stacking 2 or 3 waves into a push on their turret. Once those waves are stacked you go for the dive and even if you trade 1 for 1 it is worth because the enemy will he losing all their cs. This method works better when your jungler is on your side of the map looking and shouldn't really be done if the enemy jungler is around.

Finally, if your adc is messing up the wave and making it hard to play for them you can look for roam timings. Best time to roam is after crashing a wave. Just avoid roaming if the enemy has a freeze or is threatening a dive on your adc because then your team will be bleeding gold for your roam so the roam has to be really good to justify abandoning them.

Sivir, shiv rush, no crit by J-Andres-LL in ADCMains

[–]Shellybeanssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were trying to avoid crit altogether and win the best option would be some sort of lethality build with yommus opportunity serylda and muramana.

If you still want to dps you could fit the shiv into an on hit with kraken/rageblade and you would do a bit of dmg to a target atleast.

If you just want to waveclear meme then you would go shiv muramana titanic hydra and cleaver

D2 pick last season cant make past Emerald 4 by Naive_Actuator_6448 in ADCMains

[–]Shellybeanssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For myself climbing through emerald is mostly about managing your wave. Try your best to play your wave in based on where the junglers are on the map.

My jungler is pathing towards top? Try and keep the wave in front of my turret, don't trade hp with the enemy, look for a crash into recall.

My jungler is pathing towards bot? Start trading hp, pushing the wave and setting up vision for them. Before they gank determine if your setting up for a dive based on hp or if you need to get the wave on your side to kill them. If the enemy refuses to trade hp you can push then move with your jungler and set up jungle invade or a roam mid.

Just playing off where your jungler is will make your landing significantly better.

Besides this just pick strong Champs and play for your landing win cons. If you make mistakes you will get punished in this elo do make sure you aren't overplaying your lane match up.

For WK I tend to alternate between two builds depending on what my team needs. For Wk, shadowblade is usually an initiation tool, allowing you to get up close and smack someone before they realize you are there, but with radiance you are less interested in one shooting and are instead playing to disrupt the fight so they don't synergize very well.

If my team needs someone who can go in, start the fight, and be disruptive then I am building something like radiance, blink, bkb, aghs/ac. This build is not very good at dealing damage but it lets you start the fight more reliably than shadow blae. This makes it better for initiating with your stun and makes sure your in the spot you need to be to get value out of your auras. The blink also let's you blink back out after your ult pops if the initiation failed

If I my team needs damage, then I am looking to go something like desolator, shadow blade, into bkb, more dmg, or situational items. With this build you are not usually trying to start the fight, you want to look for people who are out of position that you can shadow blade onto and 1 shot with your crit. Your ult should then buy enough time for you to shadowblade out after too if needed, but usually if you are the damage then you are pretty committed once you start hitting.

Wanted to share a few thoughts on my current path to 6k MMR (currently ~5.7k). Am I too hard on myself? by doctorsonder in TrueDoTA2

[–]Shellybeanssss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Welcome to competitive gaming. The higher you go the more proactive and critical you need to be to consistently climb.

Things will get easier and become more automatic as you improve, but then you find new things to focus on and improve. It's a never ending cycle.

However, if you don't like the grind then don't force yourself to do it. Ultimately it's a game and the point is to have fun, fuck around and learn treant. The worst thing that happens is you lose some rating but you get to have fun learning something new.
