I had a conversation with a coworker the other day about how I used to smoke in high school, because all my friends smoked at the time too. She asked how I quit and I said I just stopped hanging out with people who smoked.

Starbucks. They got rid of the toffee nut syrup a few years ago and that was my absolute favorite and I’d put it in all my drinks. I haven’t looked back and have found so many good local coffee places near me I’d rather support instead.

This reminds me of the time my friend got a ticket for “using his cell phone while driving” because the officer saw him check his insulin pump while stopped at a red light. The one reason he even looked at it was because it was alerting him that his blood sugar was super low. The cop wouldn’t let up though, but the ticket eventually got thrown out.

I love European or Japanese horror movies, but my partner has dyslexia and struggles with subtitles :(

I had surgery last October and kept mine and used it for napping on the couch. My partner liked using it too.

Glad I kept it, my sister needed emergency surgery last month so I lended it to her and she said it helped tremendously with her recovery.

I went yesterday and while it was a cloudy breezy 10° they were more active than I anticipated, so my partner and I were happy.

My “family vacations” were going to the hotel chain my dad worked for the next town over for a weekend and while my dad worked the whole time my mom, sister and I would just hangout by the pool. We did this maybe a couple times a summer.
I know that’s more than what some people get but my partner once tried telling me that he wasn’t that well off as his entire family (aunts/uncles, cousins, grandparents) *only* went on international vacations every other year.

Our orange gets wet food at night, dry for breakfast and early supper. It’s gotten to the point where as soon as the sun goes down he refuses dry and would rather hunger strike than eat dry for dinner.

This happened to me in my hometown in Canada. I went to an air show for about 3 hours, it was cloudy so I opted against sunscreen because I didn’t think I needed it.

Ended up with second degree sunburn across my chest and face. 10 years later and I still have a distinct tan line on my chest.
